Pizzeria Da Marco
Like many other great projects, Pizzeria da Marco starts at a table conversation. In 2009 I was having dinner at my business partner's house ( he undercooked the steaks:)) and we were talking about one of the new restaurants he was opening in the DC area.

While sipping some gorgeous Italian wines from the Antinori family we were talking about high-end restaurants (My family and I had just moved to the area from Las Vegas where I worked at the Venetian and Wynn Hotel), casual restaurants and restaurants in between. The conversation then went on to talk about Italian food, regions of Italy and of course pizza.
Services
Pizzeria da Marco has done them all: big, small and in between. From Mitzvahs to Weddings, Birthday Parties, Retirement Parties, you name it, we have the right package for you. You can reserve the main dining room, our backroom or the whole restaurant. Below find the contact form. Fill it out and send it to us.

I absolutely love the food and the service. I've been going since it opened it's doors.

My only suggestion would be the choice of music playing in the restaurant. It should be completely different. Maybe something more authentic than Under The Bridge. Just a thought.

Best pizza in the area - though pricey, it's worth the money. Soft thin dough, fresh ingredients, tastes like a European pizza instead of an American humungous pizza. Nothing wrong with the American NY style one, it's good for other occasions. But this place, with its pizzas and arugula salad and wine - especially for happy hour at the bar with food and drink specials - is just a breath of fresh food in the area. Also it's kid friendly and they give crayons and coloring paper upon seating.

I absolutely love the pizza here. Fire stove cooked and the ingredients are always fresh and tastes amazing. This is my favorite place to get pizza. Only downside is there's only 1 size, which is comparable to a medium sized pizza.

If you're looking for a family-owned spot that makes you feel like part of the family - this is it! The food is delicious, the service is fantastic, and the prices are very reasonable. I don't even like olives but the Caponata bruschetta is my favorite thing on the menu (olives, eggplant, roasted peppers). The pizzas always taste fresh and are full of flavor. Make sure to cap your meal off with their homemade desserts - the amount of care and detail that goes into every dish is incredible. I wish I took photos but we ate everything before I could!

My husband and and I have been coming here for the last 4 years and he has been coming here even before that. Today we decided to have lunch here nothing unusual as we always come here on the weekends with my two kids. We walked in we were greeted by the hostess/waiter and were seated quickly (place was empty). Waters were brought out and the waiter gave us a minute with the menu. He came back to take our order and we started ordering. My husband and I had decided to get the rigatoni for the children and were asking if we could substitute the meat sauce and add the meatball appetizer as the meat

Was Pizzeria Da Marco good? Yes.
Was it worth driving nearly 60 minutes in DC traffic? No.

I've been wanting to try a Neapolitan style pizza place in the NOVA/DC area, and the reviews and photos for Pizzeria Da Marco looked good. I expected to have to wait since I didn't have a reservation and it was a Friday-night in Bethesda, MD, however, I was surprised that my SO and I were able to be seated immediately.

It took a few minutes for our waitress to first stop by, and she was in and out of contact fairly infrequently after that. It really only affected us when it came to running out

Craving pizza and are usual spot was closed for a private event so decided to branch out to find something new. Review looked good so we gave it a try on Saturday night @ 7. We were sat right away which was surprising. The restaurant was busy but not slammed. We split few appetizers and a pizza. While nothing stood out they All were good. Service was fine and Nutella pizza for dessert was good. Would definitely eat there again. There is a parking lot directly across the street and the first two hours were free, that was a pleasant surprise for Bethesda.

So disappointed today. Called for a pick up order and not acknowledged when I arrived. Stood at bar and waited. Sat at bar and waited. Only person at bar and restaurant not busy. Guy walks up to bar and is immediately acknowledged. So I just left without my order. After a long day, who needs it? I know you saw me Miss Bartender. Even eye contact would have been. Thank goodness there’s plenty of other options in Bethesda.

What a delightful surprise!
Recently, it appears a vast number of establishments have a hard time providing good service while maintaining a level of quality food/experience. I found this to be untrue at pizzeria da Marco. The service was superb and the food was pretty amazing. Wish I had taken photos of the aftermath because there was not one morsel of food left on our plates.
Another thing of note is how many of the patrons here seemed to be regulars and knew the folks running the place like family.
We had the stuffed peppers, arugula salad, bolognese sauce pasta, and the solo pizza. So yum

Pesto pizza is amazing. Nutella pizza is also pretty good. 1/2 bottle of wine on a Wednesday is a classic. Never tried the salad.

Just ordered a 12 inch pizza, meatballs and a salad. Total $38.xx. 3 of the most meager meatballs that filled the corner of a plastic carry out container...$9.00. A simple salad with nothing on it. Shameful what they provide, but have no qualms about overcharging. You can do better elsewhere...never again!

We were excited to try this place as we have been enjoying the Neapolitan style pizza lately. We were disappointed.
The outdoor seating was ok on the front patio and at around 5pm on a Saturday it was pretty empty.
They provided tap water in small liquor glasses so we asked for large waters. They also provided a kids cup of water with a lid and straw which was a nice touch.
We ordered a couple of Margherita pizzas, one with no parm cheese. The pizzas came out quick but one did not have basil and the guy that brought them out said both had not parm cheese. These were not big issues so we

This restaurant is a happy little vibe. Pizzas are great (I prefer the ones w red sauce) and the cocktails are very tasty too. They have a substantial wine menu but I haven't explored it yet. There's a nice patio if you want to sit outside too.

Heard about the meatballs here, and tried them, and they were just ok. The good part is it wasn't as salty. The pizza was good, I enjoyed the thin Napoleon style crust. We also tried an eggplant appetizer that was super tasty. However, pricey compared to the pizza. There is an elevated outdoor patio seating. Good for a casual dinner.

Staff seemed a bit aloof that day.

We've been looking for decent pizza since moving here from NJ. Perhaps the bar is set too high, but I was turned off immediately when I saw the size of the pies, and then when I saw that the underside and crust was burned.
First and last time ordering.

1st visit, We liked the sweet stuffed peppers and the hummus on the specials menu, nice with cherry tomatoes, red onions and cucumber matchsticks. Ordered the Margherita D0P, undercooked, heavy on sauce, limited Buffalo cheese and almost non-existent basil. And pictures all of these toppings sloshed to the center of the pizza, difficult to eat felt like soggy pasta. My husband liked the pizza well enough, but of the same opinion of mine for cook and dressed style. Others suggest order crispy, I suggest don't dump sauce for a much larger pie on this 14" and provide sufficient toppings

We've been going to DaMarco since it opened. We've had most of their specials and many different combinations of pizza toppings. This place is the best pizza in the DMV area. Not only does it have a wonderful atmosphere but the staff is super friendly and makes an effort to remember their customers and make them feel special. Our favorite pizza is the Burrata Con Pesto with mushrooms. It's absolutely perfect! We also get the panzanella salad which is offered in the spring and summer. It's the perfect balance of toasted bread, olives, cucumbers, heirloom tomatoes and red onions

Pizzeria Da Marco make a very good pizza. Pizza is served individually, roughly 12-13 inches in diameter, with a thin base and nicely crusted edges. They're roughly $15 bucks a pop, with plenty of good options. We ordered 4 pizza: salame, solo carne, capriccosa and margherita classica and a baked rigatoni, along with calzone and bruschetta. We left very satisfied and the staff kindly provided a free gelato scoop for the kids which was much appreciated. Great service and the wait staff were attentive and accommodating. Will go again.

After COVID I am trying to connect with friends and we agreed that this was a good middle ground for all of us.

Had a great time and the food was also great. They use double zero flour which makes it much lower in gluten content and yummier. As I am gluten intolerant, I really cannot eat much of this but it has been a year since my last pizza and I brought a handful of gluten pills to help.

It was worth it. As my nephew said, "this is the best pizza I have ever had, and I'm not even lying"

They have other dishes of course, and all of them authentic Italian.

This is only one

I been food searching this afternoon.
I was walking around and found this pizza place called Pizzeria Da Marco.
The food here is amazing. The customer service is A+.
I like the restaurant atmosphere.
If you like pizza, you have to checkout this place. The best part is you can make your own pizza.
They use mixed firewood for cooking the pizza in the oven.
It definitely make the pizza taste different.
Anyway, stop reading this review. If you are in the area, you should check this place out.

We recently tried Pizzeria Da Marco, which is super close to us! I called and my order was ready in 15 minutes. They cook their pizza in a Neapolitan Pizza Oven and everything we ordered truly blew us away through taste and quality. While we only ordered for pickup, they are still offering limited dine in service and have an outdoor patio! AND, they are offering bottles of wine for 50% off if you order directly through them.

For an app, we had the Orange salad and the Olive Ripiene (fried sausage stuffed olives). The Olive Ripiene was my favorite out of the two!! If you love olives, you have

Me and a couple friends decided to eat here to celebrate a birthday, and overall it was a very fun experience and the food and drinks were really good!

We came to this restaurant on a late Saturday afternoon, and the weather was absolutely perfect for outdoor dining, so we dined outside. There was a short wait list for outdoor dining (as there were enough seats inside to seat us immediately) but our wait was maybe 20 minutes. When we sat down, our waiter was full of energy and made great recommendations for both drinks and food. Service was fast and we really didn't have to wait for anything

Great Italian style pizza and lovely service. Came in here around mid afternoon and practically had the place to ourselves. The salad was plenty big to share to get us started and the stuffed peppers were a good pairing for appetizers. The pizzas are big enough to share, especially after appetizers, but they made for some delicious leftovers!
