Cipolla Rossa is a family run small business in the Washington DC area. The business is ran by Momma Rossa / Jaci who brings her life experiences, business expertise, and heart to Cipolla Rossa. After spending many years working in the culinary industry, Josh founded Cipolla Rossa to bring his unique blend of Neapolitan and New York style pizza, to the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

It all started when Josh would get pizza nightly after working a long restaurant shift as a cook. He studied these pizzerias and learned to love the craft. Josh is a culinary veteran and has over 15 years restaurant experience working for large corporations and small restaurants.

Finally a new pizza truck has come to our neighborhood - that's got to be a good sign for the new year, as we haven't had any new trucks for months. We ordered the pepperoni and smoky shroom - both excellent, so delicious we are seriously considering ordering a couple more to save for tomorrow. These are 10 inch pizzas with very thin crust, no extra puffy dough on the edges either so they could be considered a bit pricy since you might need more than one to feel full. Online pre-ordering is super easy, and there's a ton of additional ingredients you can choose from to further

I ordered pizza from the Cipolla Rosa pizzeria pizza truck at the Bethesda farmers market. I ordered a regular pepperoni pizza and was very pleased with both the consistency of the crust and the pepperoni topping. This was a great personal pizza. Although I am not gluten-free I know that they have many gluten-free crust offerings and I have heard very good things about these for anyone who is interested in checking them out.

Had the opportunity to finally try their pies at Rocklands Winery over the weekend. All the pies we ordered had great flavor and the homemade lemonade is not to miss! The hot honey drizzle particularly takes the flavor up an extra delicious notch.

My gf loves pizza. Specifically, the frozen boxed variety. I do not. Way too much bread, and they always taste like freezer no matter how much you try to jazz them up.

However, after seeing the pictures of these pies, I was determined to try them. After a few misses, we trekked the 30+ miles to Bethesda to visit the truck at Central Farmers Market. And it was absolutely worth it.

It was super easy for us to order online. They have a few pre-made pizzas, but also an option to create your own. It can get a little pricey adding individual toppings, but there's lots of cheese and vegetable

We had an amazing margarita and Smokey Shroom pizza. It's one of a kind with a thin crust, delicious sauce. It tastes just great and unique. The staff were friendly and nice. Happy to come back again.

Amazing pizza. Great crust. 5 cheese honey with jalapeño is the best. The oven is brought to your house and guests loved seeing it. Served with great social distancing. I highly recommend Josh as he is passionate and professional.

I have to admit, Cipolla Rossa Pizzeria is pretty darn cool. Pleasant atmosphere. Most of the food items are outstanding, their menu is outstanding, I really like their Sir Pork. The team was very pleasant and service is wonderful. Cipolla Rossa Pizzeria is definitely worth checking out.

Look no further for the BEST GLUTEN-FREE PIZZA ever! I don't know what they use but its completely homemade and the best, fluffiest inside, crispy outside texture. It blows any other gluten-free pizza out of the water. I tried the smokey mushroom and added garlic. Wonderful!! I loved it so much I ordered the caprese too. Out if the 2 I loved the mushroom more, but both were great. An unexpected surprise that gluten-free pizza could be this good! I also tried the kickin green sauce, also delicious. It tastes exactly the same as Afghan spicy chutney. I will be back when the truck is around!

Awesome pizzas. My son told me to give this place a five... but what does he know... according to him, no one can make bad pizzas.... and while he's raving that this is the best pizza he's ever had, he also say the same about Mama Celeste before.
But he's not wrong. This is some pretty good pizza. The pizza dough is soft and chewy, almost like mochi. Their plain cheese pizza while simple, is anything but. I had the Smokey shroom pizza which is to die for. And I may already be dead by the time you're reading this.

Food is great, however first and last time I will be here sadly. Some of the rudest service I've met at any small community farmers market.. VERY off putting despite delicious food.

Ordered a Margherita pizza and asked for boxes to go as I live across the street from the farmers market in Georgetown that comes every Wednesday.

The woman at the register was friendly as I told her that I will be taking the box home (across the street). It seems rather obvious that most clientele at this farmers market are locals. She gave me a box to go while the entire time I was being chastised by a younger

Cipolla Rossa was so fun to work with for our wedding! Josh was very laid-back and good at dispelling whatever wedding-planning stress we came to him with :) which was often a lot. Yet he was also completely professional, timely, and organized! Not to mention, the pizza was incredible.

These guys brought a great attitude to every interaction, which really meant a lot to us. I've been to weddings where the vibe of the vendors really disrupts the mood the couple is trying to create, but Josh and his team fit right in with our loving and fun group.

I went to their farmer's market in Bethesda on Sundays and Ronald Reagon (Capital Harvest on the Plaza) on Fridays. The pillowy soft charred wood-fired pizza is perfectly cooked all the way through. The Margherita is my favorite! It's similar to Timber Pizza, topped with a nice homey touch. It's always wonderful to see a a mother and her children working in such harmony, the staff is super welcoming and friendly!

I'm not one to go out of my way and make a Google Review, but while at Ocelot Brewery we decided to try the pizza and WOW. Absolutely amazing pizza. Personal pizza- great pricing for what you get. It was filling too, accompanied by good beer. If you're able to check them out, I highly recommend it!

Delicious pizza, freshly fired in a portable oven. I tried a slice of the margherita pizza at the Bethesda Farmer's Market, and found the sauce to be flavorful, the cheese to be fresh, and the dough to be airy and light.

Man... If you have the chance don't pass on Cipolla Rossa. The have an amazing mobile pizza oven that was set up at Fair winds Brewing Company in Lorton VA. I brought home 3 pizzas for Friday Family Pizza night. Dead silence for 10 mins as we ate our pizzas. This pizza is amazing. We got the Sir Pork A Lot ! Literally Can't wait until I see them again !

This is amazing pizza. Gorgeous Neopolitan-style crust with great assemblage of sauce and toppings. We tried the Smoky shroom and margherita, both were amazing but I'd give the edge to the shroom.

One word. Dough. Goodness gracious... there is something to be said about wood fired pizza dough/crust. It was crispy, chewy, buttery, and flakey (if that's even possible). Simply put... delicious! I normally don't eat the crust if it isn't superb. But believe me, I ate every bit of the crust on this pizza.

This establishment is family owned and operated by a loving family who are extremely friendly and service oriented. I can't wait to go back and eat every bit of that pizza crust. Oh, don't get me wrong... the toppings were top notch too!!!

I love that Cipolla Rossa now serves homemade vegan cheese! The mom makes the cheese from aquafaba and cashews, and it's delightful. I love the wood-fired crust - the pizza reminds me of my recent trip to Naples, Italy. Last summer, the pizzas were also delicious, but they didn't have the vegan cheese. Instead, they gave the vegan pizzas double sauce (yum). It's one of my favorite food stands at the Capital Harvest on the Plaza Friday farmer's market on Woodrow Wilson Plaza and makes for a delicious lunch! Sometimes, I let them choose the veggies, and they never disappoint!
