Located near the State Parks and hiking trails all of which are within a 15 to 20 minute drive. The 20 Acre property is situated 1/4 mile down our private wooded drive. Upon arrival the property opens up with the main feature being a 2.5 acre lake. The cabins are all located around the lake providing beautiful views of the grounds and nature.
We have chosen to utilize this property as a nature preserve so there are many opportunities to view the wildlife as they consider these grounds a safe haven. All of the cabins are far enough away from one another to provide seclusion and privacy for a Romantic get away. Yet close enough to facilitate multiple cabin rentals for groups and family reunions.

Save your money and time, any cabin business is better, you will have no wifi, cell reception and if your electricity goes out you won't have any water either, and it's only considered a act of God so there's nothing the owners can do, a stay here may ruin your experience

My family just spent the week at the Squirrels Nest and we absolutely loved our time there! The cabin was clean, had excellent A/C, and my kids had so much fun in the canoes. We brought our own movies but were surprised to see we had wifi in the cabin and could watch Hulu, Netflix, and Disney plus on the tv. We are definitely planning on making this trip an annual one! Be sure to bring rafts to float on in the lake! (Our cabin neighbors did and it was such a good idea). Also, the stone road to the cabins is kind of treacherous but we didn’t have any major issues. Once you leave the cabin, cell

We just returned from our third visit in the past three years. It’s just the two of us and we stay at the Lake cabin. It’s a great quiet lot of the six family friendly cabins in a wonderfully beautiful location. Frankly, I think they under-charge, and I’ve stayed at cabins in the Hocking Hills area at least a dozen times. What is most encouraging is not only the consistency in each stay, but the fact that every year, the owners invest in improving the resort.
Great value, loads to do without leaving the premises: fishing and canoeing off your private dock, your own fire pit, hot tub and

My mom was looking for a cabin camping trip for us to go on a getaway for my college graduation and found the Squirrel's Nest at Wyandot Woods. Honestly we loved almost everything about this place. All of the cabins are located in a pretty secluded area back in the woods, which is exactly what we were looking for. The cabin was pretty clean, they just obtained wifi in the area, the pond was full of fish, the hot tub was clean and working, etc. All of these things were great for a more luxurious camping trip (compared to tent camping). The only reason I'm giving it three stars is because

While I imagine these cabins would be enjoyable any other time of year, the owners do a serious disservice to guests by renting Wyandot Woods cabins after snow season starts. We booked Rustic Cabin for 2 nights starting 2/14; left as soon as we could get packed the morning of 2/15, giving up our 2nd night for peace of mind and safety. Despite having a heavy 4-wheel drive truck, we struggled terribly on the snow-covered, thin, uneven, twisting road to access the cabins. Numerous deep ruts made it clear others had gotten stuck, as we did for a short time, putting my husband and his truck at risk

I just arrived home today from my cabin weekend. My boyfriend and I, along with our two good friends had a "couples" weekend in the Squirrels Nest. It was very clean and not as small as I thought it would be. The hot tub was very clean, we had to take the top off and let the smell of chlorine air out. The cabins are close to each other but I never once had a problem with a neighbor being too loud or saying that we were. The lake was very pretty and the canoes were great! We are scheduling another cabin for next month!

My husband and I have stayed at Wyandot about 5 years ago and loved it. Our experience this week was not the same. We stayed in the Rustic Cabin Mon-Thur. When we arrived, I cleaned the cabin with cleaning supplies that I brought from home, and I am glad that I did. The shower and tub was dirty! There was an electrical wire hanging over the hot tub. The hot tub had sand or dirt in the bottom. The pond was much cleaner also, years ago, but it is pretty and the canoe is nice. The floating dock is super dangerous. There are nails and old wood sticking out all over it that you wouldn't want to stand

First off, there aren't any signs as to where the cabins are! There are no directions leading up to the day of arrival or explanation of where to go. We had someone randomly come up to their cabin thinking they were at the "check in office" and had zero clue of where his cabin was.
The Cape Cod cabin is not nearly as nice as it is in the photos on the website. There was also a lingering smell of cigarette smoke. We were under the impression that this was a smoke free cabin. There also wasn't any hot water in the bathroom sink so I had to shave in the kitchen. Lights were not working in the hall

So, the saving grace of this trip was the hot tub was decent (read on) and we hit peak color in hocking. This cabin was touted as secluded, it is NOT....See attached photos, you are looking directly at 2 other cabins as well as the "turn around/dumpster". The hot tub is on the front porch facing all of that "amazing view". Luckily we brought our own blankets, even though we paid for linens to be provided. Not only was what we brought from home nicer, we used the blankets as curtains getting in and out of the hot tub. As far as your views, be prepared to look at other cabins

I never got to the point of actually staying at Wyandot Woods, but I felt so entirely disrespected during the reservation process that I felt it was worth writing about here. We had settled on booking the Cape Cod for New Years Eve when I found the following review : https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g50539-d10472493-r502635076-Wyandot_Woods-Laurelville_Ohio.html#CHECK_RATES_CONT
The review mentions a leaky window. I called Wyandot Woods to ask if the leak has been fixed. (The above review was left in July 2017 and I was booking in December 2017) The leak had not been fixed but the person

We stayed in Rustic Cabin. There was leftover food on most of everything we needed to use/cook with/eat of off in the kitchen. There were black curly hairs in the shower and on the sink, dried pee around rim of tub. Mice had chewed through a pillow on the bed and we found a black widow in the bedroom doorway. We also had to dodge a wasp living in a nest on the door to the balcony. If you do decide to go, bring bleach, spider spray and a good mouser!

We stayed in the Cedar cabin for 4 days in August. It was great. Clean and full of everything we needed. Connie was so nice. We forgot a bag there and she found it and took it to her office so we could pick it up later. The pond is beautiful and we swam everyday. The hot tub was clean and warm. The view from the balconies was beautiful. the only downside is the shower is very small. It's difficult to shave your legs. And there are no electrical outlets by the sink and mirror. Aside from that, we had a wonderful time. I can't wait to go back again.
