We just stayed in one of the a-frame cabins (a-frame #8) at the Chalets over the weekend. I was so excited for our stay, but then slightly disappointed when we arrived. I felt like our cabin was dirty. There were someone’s toenails all over the bathroom floor, and the shower had grime on the floor of it. The living room floor also looked like it hadn’t been swept or mopped since the previous stay before us. There were wood shavings and dead stink bugs on the floor. It was definitely a beautiful location, and it was a pretty cabin and a quiet area. The hot tub was also amazing, but the way that

We rent a cabin a few times each year. We stopped renting at the previous cabin because - everything else being wonderful - the fireplace flu didn’t have enough of a draft and filled the cabin with smoke. We were overjoyed with our cabin (Pine Creek), except that we woke up on the morning we were to leave and it was extremely cold inside (50 degrees) and the electric was out. No lights. No breakfast. Then the water stopped working as I tried to take a shower before we were to leave. We called the office and they said “sorry about that” and then said they’d email the maintenance people.

Low end rental- numerous signs threatening fines for everything. It felt like the owners were annoyed if they had to do anything after your stay (ie $50 fine to ship items back to you or plug in tv cables) come on- how hard is it to plug the tv cables back in or ship items that people accidentally forgot. Everything in the rental was low end- appliances, cabinets, paint job, even the bare minimum pans in the kitchen. Looks likes they’ve avoided putting any money into the cabin in years. The bathtub was clogged, the reclining couch was broken, some of the jets in the hot tub were broken.

We stayed in the Chalets for our honeymoon and I was so impressed by how well kept everything was. The cabin was spotless and had modern amenities so you had the rustic cabin feel while still being able to connect to wifi. I liked the fact that it felt secluded and cozy out in the woods, but you are still close to shopping in town and all of the hiking trails. We will definitely be staying with the Chalets again in the future.

I feel it's important to post this to give management and the staff a good review after a rough experience. My mom, myself, and my 2 boys stayed there these past few days. It was not always great....some things out of their control, some was. We just had a run of bad luck on things in the cabin not working. TV sound not working, direcTV went down. Internet is not true wifi. Couple housekeeping issues that they took care of quickly. Door lock wasn't working and taken care of quickly. Hot tub needing reset multiple times, ultimately, never really working. BUT....I am huge on customer service and

My family and I stayed at one of these properties in August of 2020. It was very nice and clean. Hot tub on the porch worked great. The master bathroom shower was one of the best showers I've used in my life! We had a relaxing experience here and I would stay there again if we visit Hocking Hills in the future.

Great location. We stayed in an A-frame. It was very clean, nicely decorated, and the hot tub was a perfect ending for a busy day! The chalets are just as they are advertised. We have already told many friends and family about the chalets and will continue to recommend to everyone!! Thanks for your help in making our stay at Hocking Hills a wonderful memory!

To be clear, this review is only for the Sauna Pods!
My boyfriend and I rented one of the sauna pods for two hours for Valentine's Day and it turned out to be a great idea! The sauna pods are very affordable and a great way to relax at the end of a long day of hiking.
My favorite feature of the sauna pods was the Bluetooth capabilities that allowed you to jam to your favorite music while hanging out in the sauna part of the pod. The view within the pod is also great as the way that they are positioned allows you to see little to none of the cabins surrounding you.
My only drawback here

We rented a sauna pod for two hours over Valentine's Day weekend. Thankfully it was winter time and about 10 degrees outside - not sure how you do this in the middle of summer!
I recommend the two hour session - bring plenty of water, not too much alcohol, and a customized music playlist so you can connect to Bluetooth.
It's a little pricey but it's extremely relaxing after a long, cold day of hiking.

DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. When/if their contract requires that they reimburse you for damages incurred while staying within their cabins, you will receive reimbursement in the form of a gift certificate toward a return visit. We spent our Thanksgiving holiday with NO running water, no working toilet, no power, no heat, no telephone. Multiple expensive trips to Walmart buying coolers and ice in order to keep our holiday food from going bad. But hey, that's fine, because our reimbursement gift certificate is in the mail. And the owner, Matt, LAUGHED as he told me this. Great guy.

We rented a A-Frame #4 at the Chalets in Hocking Hills, Ohio. We arrived after hours to a chalet that was infested with flies. In 2 days I killed 40+ flies. The bathroom floor was filthy. There was no furniture in the bedrooms, no nightstands or places to put luggage. Maintenance ignored our calls. Management was absent 2 of the 3 days of our stay and did nothing but refer us to the Owner, and when the Owner finally responded to me (AFTER we had returned home), our conversation was one of the craziest, creepiest calls I've ever had with a business owner. Owner blamed ME for not handling the

Our cabin was cleaner than any hotel I've ever been in!!! The appliances were all new. We were in the woods but not far from town. Using the cabin kitchen to make meals was wonderful! We chose a pet friendly cabin, which allowed us to bring our furry family member. Maintenance checked the hot tub daily, and they drain and clean it between customers. The Alpine cabin was the perfect place for our family to stay when we weren't fishing, hiking or visiting antique malls. Highly recommend!!!

Uite a disappointment. Booked a 2 night stay in an A-frame based on pictures and reviews from people who apparently have pretty low standards. We left after the first night and were not given any refund for not wanting to endure another near sleepless night.
The biggest and first problem was the failure of the staff to include the the strawberries and rose petals my girlfriend wanted (and paid for). The manager thought it was funny that his incompetent staff put them in the wrong chalet. My girlfriend was not amused. The price of the botched romance package was refunded but my girlfriend

Second time renting a chalet, this spring break. Rooms have been clean, well maintained and in great locations. Two issues. We stayed in Pine Creek. The master bed was so uncomfortable. It squeaked so much ! Almost with every breath. You could not move without alerting the whole house. And the floor in that room was just as squeaky. Didn't sleep much during our visit
The other problem was the water. It smelled so strong of sewer. Afraid to brush my teeth in it, let alone drink it. Showering was unpleasant to say the least.
I really like the company, this cabin could have been wonderful, great

I have a memory of coming here and walking with my grandpa one Sunday after church. We didn't go very far because obviously, church clothes, but it was clear to me even then that this was a very special place.
Although I don't live in Hocking County anymore, Old Man's Cave is definitely a gem and completely worth a visit, no matter where you're coming from.
I have seen a lot of parks, etc, and this is probably one of the most well kept and cleanest, even though the State of Ohio doesn't seem to think parks are as important anymore.
The Devil's bathtub is awesome

OK, I think I'll start with my Pros: Loved the seclusion of the whole cabin, however, there was another cabin to the right of us so that was a little different, we never heard those people which I was happy about. I felt checking in, everything went well, very nice guy working the check in desk. I loved Cross Creek Cabin because it was literally behind a creek, so you can hear the water flowing 24/7. I thought the cabin inside was wonderful, the smell of pine, the homey atmosphere, I mean they even had the fan going and ice in the ice trays. Such a comforting home away from home feeling. I

We chose Omcc because they had pet friendly cabins and I had a $60 off coupon from the Entertainment Book. After setting foot into our cabin I was so happy we chose Omcc. The cabin was spotless! It was so clean and well maintained! That immediately put my mind at ease and I knew it'd be a good trip.
We loved the hot tub and secluded back deck. At first, we were put off by how close the cabins are to each other, but it really didn't effect our trip at all. It felt very private. We loved the sky lights on the deck and in the cabin.
