One of the best horchata drinks I’ve had, not too sweet or bland. Considering I’m super peaky with my horchatas, always comparing it to my moms. Plus you can tell it’s made in house. I got the mole poblano enchiladas. They were good as well, theres is a little more spicy, but I’m a huge mole lover so I am always open to different ways restaurants make it. Overall ambience is comfortable with low lite and smooth music. Wouldn’t think it was a Mexican restaurant from looking outside.

I want to love this place because it’s so close to home and they have some really great items! Their prices on taco Tuesday are a rip off though, and they constantly change their story. Sometimes you can get the tacos to go, sometimes they say no. It really depends on who answers the phone. They recently raised their prices from $6 for three tacos to $10!!! Sometimes they throw in rice and beans, but sometimes they charge extra, It totally depends on their mood and is taking your order. One thing that really bothers me is how they respond to complaints. Last time I ordered potato tacos they brought

My wife wanted Pizole soup and when we looked for it. We have in shopping center for other shops and never seen the cafe. It is well worth going here. While the place is small, don't let that hinder you. The happy hour taco plate was excellent, the carnitas was so tender and flavorful. The pizole was outstanding, just what my wife wanted. Lastly, the happy hour margaritas were tasty. They have a full bar so they can make various types, flavors, strengths of margaritas. Good beer & wine selection

I went to Amorelia a few years ago and it was a nice experience so I finally convinced my mom to come for breakfast and I was so embarrassed.
Host was great we were seated promptly.
Ambiance was good as well, all tables were filled.
But,
All went downhill as soon as we were brought the food.
My mom ordered the chilaquiles which were your topical corn chips with sauce nothing to crave or recommend again and I ordered French toast which quite frankly were below average.
The real problem was the cafe de olla, it wasn't as yummy as usual, it seemed like the flavor was overcompensated

The food at this place is absolutely delicious. As far as atmosphere goes, it's a cute and cozy hole in the wall spot in a Costa Mesa mini mall- not as romantic as the restaurants on the harbor but plenty of charm and plenty of authentic flavors going on.
I always get Gloria's salad here, tonight my husband got the poblano mole Jidori chicken as well which took the whole scope of this place to the next level. So good. Miriam our server was fantastic, and she made one of the best skinny cazadores margaritas this side of the border.
We always return here, even if it's only a few

I come here ever so often from Riverside!!!! Why? Because of their amazing cafe de la olla!!! It is so heavenly and amazingly good. Se pasan!! Esta tan bueno! I even take one to go after several servings. Lol. Also, their chilaquiles and asada are soooo good! TBH I have not tried anything else but I am sure it is all good. They have great, attentive and friendly service and the place itself and latino ballads are nice. They be playing Julio Jaramillo...osea hello. I love it

We ordered the Sopas de Albóndigas & the Mole Poblano Enchiladas. The tortilla chips came and the salsa was too spicy both for my wife, who isn't big on spice and myself who typically loves spicy. The issue is this peppery taste in the backside.
My wife tried to have the server bring a mild salsa. "That is the mild one." She replied. "Can we just get Pico de Gallo?" I asked. the Pico came, it too was peppery on the back side of the flavor profile. Everything they brought us was very peppery. Someone in the back is just shaking that pepper shaker. Lol.
$5 for a

Not feeling this place after my recent experience... they seem pretty unorganized with the online ordering. I placed my order using Yelp/Grubhub then they couldn't find it. Then after I showed my screen then they said they found it but they only wanted to give me one of the two items I ordered. It clearly has two items I ordered and paid for on the screen. I don't appreciate being made to feel like I'm trying to get something I didn't pay for. Years ago I got a great coffee here. More recently I got a mediocre ceviche. But this will be my last time getting anything here. I don

I'm going to honest, II like to pay a good breakfast and this morning I have purchased 3 orders of chilaquiles rojos with steak and to me those chilaquiles are terrible
No Flavor in many ways
I know people said really good place and food
Yes the environment it's good but they really need to put more effort to the chilaquiles...
Not going back again.

Delicious! Beautifully plated and great tasting mole Poblano, I lived in Puebla as a child, my favorite dish and most iconic one was: mole Poblano. The mole at Amorelia’s brought so many childhood memories, thank you! My fiancé never had cafe the olla, he loved it, wanted to bring a thermos and fill it up. We will be back for sure.
