I used to frequent this business a lot before, and decided to drop in recently.
Unfortunately, this visit was not like before. The food was mediocre and so was the service. Steak was over cooked and the french toast tasted like cafeteria food.
We were told to sit anywhere (just like before), but it took approximately ten minutes for a server to come by, give us our menus and take our drink order.
Another ten minutes went by and our waitress came around to take our order. The food was ready quick, but the quality of the food was poor. No refills for coffee were provided, nor for water.

The portions are great! Service was friendly. Prices are reasonable. Food was cooked fresh to order. Restaurant was clean. Easy to get seating (at 7am on Sunday). The bacon was crispy and seasoned nicely. If this was all I based the review on, this would be a 5 star place. HOWEVER, when a place serves biscuits and gravy, they should get it 110% correct...or not do them. The gravy was lukewarm and tasteless. Huge strike out. The biscuits were thin, tasteless, and the texture was like a sponge (and not in a good way). If you can't serve a hot, flavorful gravy, don't offer it. Biscuits should

This place is such a hidden gem. We've been here three or four times now and every time it's just amazing. We've been here when it's busy and when it's slow and the food always comes out quickly and deliciously. When were you think I'm going out to breakfast this is now the first place we think of. The steak and eggs and country skillet are favorites. They also have a mean beef dip and fries. Fresh orange juice on tap. Solid coffee. I think we'd eat here every week if we could.

Stopped in here for a quick lunch and can I just say, wow! I just moved to the area so there's lots I haven't discovered yet - if you're looking for a great breakfast/lunch/dinner i highly recommend this place. It's cute, the people are friendly and the menu has a lot of variety - most importantly, the food is delicious! I'll definitely be coming back <3

Ordered the chicken fried steak with egg whites and hot potatoes with no veggies. Chicken fried steak was flavorful, just wish it came with a little bit more gravy. Have you ordered the combo omelette and. he seemed to enjoy it but with disappointed that it was a bit smaller than before. Love that they have orange marmalade for toast. Place was busy and it is seat yourself. Just wish they would have the menus as you walk in, because then you could take it with you while you are waiting for someone to be with you. I have been here two times. The first time , I wasn't not impressed with the eggs Benedict . It was bland , lacked seasoning and the hollandaise sauce was sour. Additionally service was so so slow even though it was not busy. Regardless of the first time experience , I decided to give it another chance. Now I went again , and was not impressed again. The host was very nice and sat us right away . It was not busy so we got to choose our seat outside . Stopped in for breakfast with my grandson. The food is always good and the service is attentive. Grandson had the monster breakfast burrito with bacon and he ate almost all of it and insisted on taking the rest home to eat for breakfast tomorrow. I had the huevos rancheros and was quite pleased with the taste of the ranch sauce that came in the eggs. Always a option for breakfast when in this part of the OC

I stumbled across this hidden gem during my jury duty lunch and I must say I'm so glad I didn't walk ALL the way to Popeyes because that's where I was actually headed.. but seen this place and I was like ok... I'll give it a try and Oh My Goodness!!! Soooo Yummy! I will have to bring my family here to eat because I know they will like this place! I had to patty melt and I ate the WHOLE darn plate!! Well not including the plate! But if it was edible I probably would 5 stars from me! The service was also outstanding

This is by far the best breakfast / brunch you can get in the area !! And how foolish was I looking for a hipsters spot meanwhile this gem was waiting for me here !!! I had the veggie omelette oh wow comes with everything and more. Break potatoes, avocados etc… !!! Everything was delishhhh and even the regular coffee tastes great. Service is impeccable!!

SO this is where they hid the east coast diners, in west coast café. Well uncle petes café is as good as Apollos diner, and with enough food choices to make anyone happy. specials that i chose before going to the fish and chips. (i was asked if i want mashed potatoes or baked potatoes, i almost blurted out that it wouldn't be fish and chips in that case, but i realized i mostly scare kids when I make such a comment.) they had tri ttp steak, t bone, lazania and that was just the specials. the menu had pages and pages of stuff gyros, burritos on and on. Of course most things came with soup or salad

Great breakfast!! My husband and I ordered the breakfast burrito and the breakfast croissant. The breakfast burrito did say it was supposed to have beans inside which I had never tried before so I was interested in trying that but when I got the burrito there weren't any beans inside. Was hungry so I didn't say anything. The burrito was still soo good!! My husband really enjoyed the hashbrowns.

The chicken skillet breakfast was packed with vegetables and chicken and potatoes. It was very filling, although a little bland. We added hot sauce which made it taste more flavorful. It was a healthy option with lots of protein.
The french toast was mediocre, everyday french toast. The eggs were okay and the bacon was pretty basic.
This is a good brunch place with healthy options and classic breakfast favorites :)

My bestie was getting her eyebrows micro-bladed next door to Uncle Pete's. Since I was in the area too, we agreed to meet for lunch and in the interest of saving time we decided on Uncle Pete's, which was busy and had a pretty big variety of options in the menu. All promising signs of a safe bet.

CFS is my go to at every breakfast diner. I used to g to Pams but since covid their steaks have been very dry so I decided to try Uncle Pete's. I have def found my new fav breakfast spot. The CFS was not dry at all and their gravy was so delish. Their Belgium waffle was so warm and fluffy.
The diner itself is very clean. Bonus points for having a lotto scratcher machine to test your luck while you wait. It's def a hidden gem in this plaza! See you again soon Uncle Pete!

We just ordered 2 breakfast burritos for about $11 where you can choose 2 proteins as we got the sausage and chorizo/beans, it comes with eggs and potato inside. The chorizo was too oily and leaked to the tortilla and was very oily to hold. I used a fork to eat the burrito. It felt filling with a good amount of meat.

I've drove by this place countless of time and finally decided to check it out!
Lots of outdoor seating when the weather is nice and super homey feel.
We ordered a huge spread and everything tasted yummy.
Short Stack Pancakes with bananas- fluffy and good, cant go wrong
Breakfast Burrito- I'm a sucker for a breakfast burrito and it was a good size. You can pick what goes inside! Sausage ftw!
Country Fried Steak- homemade gravy and the over easy eggs was a perfect match.
This place can get pretty crowded and sometimes there is a wait for the outdoor seating. Be prepared!
