Its the biggest indian grocery store in San Francisco. Its a family run store, known for great customer service. The owner Rakesh Marwaha and his wife Rama run the store and their son Vikas Marwaha who is a full time Googler helps over the weekends.
The store is well maintained and stocks a wide range of indian products from flours, pickles, curry leaves, rices, lentils to indian utensils, religious items, henna, bindis, spices, organic lentils, snacks, chai, fresh samosas and many more products. The store is located in the Safeway parking lot on Webster and Geary and has free parking outside the storefront making it really convenient for our customers.

There are very few Indian Grocery stores in the city and so this store does choose to charge a premium on almost all products. In some instances the markup can be as high as 50-75% at different times (e.g. Horlicks Malt Powder) over the same item in a store in South Bay / East Bay.
The store itself is small so the selection is limited but not terrible. There often isn't a choice of different brands to pick from and sometimes they choose to stock weird off brand versions of products (e.g. Cereal Kitchen Masala Oats instead of Saffola Masala Oats).
Most discerning shoppers I know choose to do the

This shop is the definition of pure greed. I would rather go to East bay than buy anything from here. I attached a picture of 1 item - the regular price is $3.99 but just a day before Diwali they increased it to $5.99.
Also the taxes are humongous. I have bought groceries from all over East bay and SF and none of them charge taxes as much as they do. I also encourage people to check the bill as it's not itemized (it just says food item) and there are high chances of an extra item or 2 if you're not vigilant.

Very very very expensive indian grocery store. Please do not go here, this is very expensive! It is next to extortion because San Francisco does not have another indian grocery store and they are establishing their monopoly by raising the prices to unbelievable extent. MORE THAN WHOLE FOODS LOL! Rather go to another grocery store outside the city.
I have already lodged a complaint with Better Business Bureau to check for price gouging.

We went there to buy some Indian groceries and spices. We asked the gentleman who was there he helped us. We asked him a couple of more questions and he was very helpful. We ended up buying more than we thought of. We went to the register and we were asked to wait although nobody was there. Anyway all good. So this Old lady at the register was talking to somebody who just showed up. So I become restless after 12 minutes and asked her if she can ring the things so we can pay. So this OLD LADY told us very rudely to pull everything out of the basket and keep on the counter, we did then she said very

A variety of items can be picked from imported and local products at this grocery store. It is where I buy my grocery on a daily basis, as it is near my home. It is a big business, very tidy, and not crowded either. This is definitely one of the best shops I've been to for groceries. Many gratitude to you!
