Annual maintenance is a great way to keep your HVAC equipment running smoothly and keep your hard earned money in your pocket. RJS Heating & Cooling, Inc. is your TRUSTED Expert for Furnace repair in the Roselle area. In the Roselle area, proper heating and air conditioning make all the difference when it comes to year-round enjoyment of your home.
RJS Heating and Cooling is committed to providing top-notch products and services to our customers. We are always willing to answer your questions and provide the information you need to make the best decisions for your home. The lifespan of new equipment exceeds that of older systems. Older furnaces generally last between 10-15 years, and olderair conditioners last 10-12 years.
Study up - Find out about license and insurance requirements for contractors in your state. And before you call a contractor, know the model of your current system and its maintenance history. Also, make note of any uncomfortable rooms. This will help potential contractors better understand your heating needs.
Most air conditioners have their capacity rated in BTUs, or British Thermal Units. A BTU is, generally, the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one pound of water one degree F. Specifically, a BTU is 1,055 joules, but the first definition is easier to understand in real-life terms. One "ton", in heating and cooling terms, is 12,000 BTUs.
Maintain your equipment to prevent future problems and unwanted costs. Keep your cooling and heating system at peak performance by having a contractor do annual pre-season check-ups. Contractors get busy once summer and winter come, so it's best to check the cooling system in the spring and the heating system in the fall.

Would 100% recommend. Very helpful with our furnace/air conditioning installs and even called to make sure they were registered in order to extend the warranties. Our heat wouldn't work and they came out quickly to fix the issue. We will definitely be using them from now on!

I have been with RJS for many years. Many years ago prior to RJS we had another company install a new furnace and the work was very shoddy. RJS was recommended by a neighbor. RJS removed and reinstalled the new furnace making it more ergonomic in our small space and more efficient saving us energy. Since then we have stayed with RJS for all of our HVAC needs. They are prompt, very professional, spend extra time answering questions, provide options, and recommendations. I highly recommend RJS.

RJS Heating & Cooling are VERY professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The crew was focused on their job and got the work done. They were easy to talk to and they explained what they were doing if we had any questions. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who needs heating and ac work done. My parents will also be switching over to them for their house as well.

If you are looking for a business that is honest, dependable, reasonable you NEED to call RJS Heating and cooling. I have used Scott since he was a young man working for a heating air conditioning company. Now he owns RJS Heating and Air conditioning company and I still depend on him. Like I said previously. He is very honest, dependable, reasonable. He only uses the best equipment. He stands by his equipment. I would never consider using another heating and air conditioning company.

Woke up to no heat. Contacted RJS Heating and Cooling and explained my problem. With my furnace being 30 years old I wasn’t expecting a great outcome. Scott arrived within an hour and assessed the situation. Scott informed me that he could fix the furnace but due to the repairs needed it would be a considerable amount. Scott also explained the products he offered and what was available immediately. He also explained my options with the furnace install and possible ac unit install but after assessing my ac unit he informed me a new ac unit was not needed and wouldn’t recommend replacement. I

RJS is a pleasure to work with! They give you all the details on the project and let you decide what will work best for your situation. Not pushy at all! They are really responsive and quick to figure out and fix the problem! I trust them and would recommend them to anyone who needs repairs/replacement!

We just had our air conditioning replaced and had a great experience. Not only was the price competitive, the installers were top notch, both in their craftsmanship of tackling a complicated old house and their courteousness and willingness to answer any questions we had. They left no trace behind, and we are enjoying the quiet, new, efficient a/c just in time for summer. A side note: they did wear masks and observed social distancing.

I called Scoot in desperation because my mother-in-law's furnace wasn't working. I called fist thing in the morning explaining I needed someone I can trust to go over there and I had a bad experience from another company who tried to charge me over $500 just to replace a $19 sensor that you can buy through Amazon. Scott said he would personally go out himself and call me with a quote. Turns out he gave the furnace a good cleaning and replaced an intermitted sensor for less than half the price I was quoted from someone else just to replace a sensor.
Scott was very personable and timely

Poor after service, accountability and responsibility. Called them for a issue with unit installed by them 3 years ago, which has a 10 year warranty. They told me I get a 5 year warranty since I am the second owner of the house, the unit is still within warranty that's what I thought and I was happy for a second, but again they flipped out by saying the warranty starts from the date of manufacture which is 2012 and not date of installation.so no warranty in short. When it comes to selling, the owner opens his big mouth and explains big advantages with RJS but when it comes to standing by it

These guys are INCREDIBLY helpful! We woke up on day 2 of the Polar Vortex to find it was 48 degrees in the house and the furnace wasn't working. I did a little online research to find out what the problem might be, but was stumped. I called RJS and explained what was going on and he was able to talk me thru what was happening and some things I could do to get it working again without having to pay the cost for a technician to come out and look at it.
As of now, the furnace is working but we're keeping an eye on it. If there is an issue, RJS will be the first ones I call!

We, as consumers, don't always take the time to share the good stories in our lives, and RJS has been a good one for me.
On Thursday evening I returned home to find that my central air unit was not running, just before the first major "hot" spell of the year. Friday morning, approximately 6:30am, I called up RJS to get an estimate on a repair or potentially replace the unit. Scott answered, offered to call me back in 15 mins as he was working on something with his crew, and he actually did call back. When he called back we chatted about the situation, and he came out late afternoon

I have been using RJS since I purchased my house in 2005. They are knowledgeable and prompt. I just had my heat go out and I called at 8:30 at night expecting to get a voicemail and leaving a message to come check my furnace out in the morning. To my surprise the owner picked up the phone and came to my house in a snowstorm and fixed my furnace that night! Now that is service that needs to be recognized, if have any heating or cooling issues I highly recommend RJS!!!!!

I don't know what happened to RJS. I used them for several years but this company has gone downhill. I had RJS installed a new HVAC to one our investment properties last year. On the purchase, it stated must schedule annual maintenance in order for the warranty to be in effect. I called left messages TWICE to schedule the maintenance but no response. So don't believe when they tell you have number of years of warranty. If they don't want to do the maintenance then they probably will cheat their way out of the warranty.
