My name is Dr. Danny Geren and I am a Licensed Acupuncturist and Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
Acupuncture involves the placement of very thin needles on certain points on the body that lie along the energetic pathways, also known as meridians. These needles can be used to help stimulate the body's innate healing capacity and treat numerous conditions. Combining the art forms of intuition and multiple energy healing modalities to treat energetic, spiritual and emotional conditions that are often the root cause of various physical ailments.
We are in-network with Blue Shield (plans that don't use American Specialty Health), OptumHealth Care Solutions (which covers United Healthcare and more), and VA / TriWest insurances. We are out-of-network with Cigna and Aetna, however if you have another insurance that has acupuncture coverage, feel free to inquire if you have out-of-network coverage.
Needles generally cause no bleeding or pain and the needles used are disposable. Acupuncturists are trained in exact location, angle and depth of insertion of the acupuncture needle to be completely safe. L.Ac. stands for Licensed Acupuncturist, indicating that the practitioner has gone through the rigorous schooling required and has passed the state board exam.
New Patients: Please email to schedule your first appointment and you will then be given access to the online scheduler for future appointments. We are located in the building just south of the Corte Madera movie theater. There is plenty of parking all around the building, including the back of the building if the front is full.

I started seeing Dr. Green for Acupuncture after several yrs of chiropractic & physical therapy had stopped working for me. I have been in chronic pain due to a car accident, however after a few sessions I noticed an immediate reduction in pain levels by about half. My pain is much more manageable now and the treatments even helped to clear out some mental fog I was experiencing from being in constant pain. Danny Geren is an outstanding acupuncturist and healer. I have been to him multiple times and he has helped with physical pain reduction in my neck and shoulders, assisted in healing a vocal chord injury as well as reduction of anxiety. I had been struggling with chronic, idiopathic foot pain for several years and had consulted numerous health professionals, including several podiatrists and other acupuncturists, none of whom had helped much. In just a few sessions Dr. Geren has helped me discover and heal things that I thought would take a lifetime (or more) of work. So I have seen Dr. Danny 3 times now and it's been amazing. I have been struggling with night sweats for over a year and no doctor or anyone could figure out what was wrong. I saw dr Danny once for it and they are almost completely gone. He's so amazing. He's broken down walls emotionally wise that have been up for decades. I have seen acupuncturists before but never have I had results like these. He's so kind and easy to talk too. His space is very calming and safe. I definitely recommend everyone check him out!! Wow! I just had no clue how much a single session could do. I saw Danny for the first time on an exceptionally stressful day. I left his office feeling incredibly relaxed, even euphoric. Danny does incredible long distance energy healing work. I had a sore back for two weeks, and after a long distance healing the pain was gone overnight. I'm so grateful for his mastery in this modality and highly recommend it. I have been seeing Danny for almost a year for what I call emotional, physical and spiritual upgrades. He is an old soul who brings wisdom from multiple disciplines, deep intuitive capacities and precision to his practice. I have been struggling with a shoulder issue for quite some time with no relief. I had tried various avenues with no success. My amazing chiropractor suggested Danny but I was hesitant because I had tried acupuncture before with no success. I have been seeing Whitney for the past 3 months primarily for cupping. Danny said she was the cupping queen & that she is! Highly trained, well educated, extremely knowledgeable as well as empathetic & caring; you are in good hands. The best part about seeing Whitney is her caring/helpful approach. I first saw Danny Geren spring 2019 for acupuncture at the advice of a friend. I'm not sure what I was expecting at the time but my health had fallen apart -- I felt bloated and stiff and not in my usual light, bright mood for the past 6 months. Danny is incredible and I feel like I found the most sacred, intuitive healer. His knowledge, compassion, ability, and results are unlike any I've ever experienced. I have gone to other acupuncturists in San Francisco however never had the results that I have with Danny.

Working with Danny has been life changing.
I had chronic back pain and dealing with anxiety/depression for years. I was at the point where I had to constantly work out just to feel a little bit better. My job and classes were suffering and I didn't know what else to do.
I went to Danny and after one visit there was a major shift. A LOT of the daily anxiety and depression I felt was gone! Along with the change of moods, my back pain started to feel better and I wanted to see friends again. I was less tired and was doing better at school.

Great experience and results!
I went to Danny with a painful elbow injury from kayaking. I had only had very bad experiences with acupuncture previously, but Danny was great. He talked me through what he was doing and worked around my limits and my sensitivity. After 5 sessions I'm climbing and kayaking again! Pain is gone. Also he's a ridiculously adorable human being.
