Occasionally a client or agent will ask me, What made you decide to become a Licensed Home Inspector? Well, I'm sure that I'd bore you to tears if I attempted a life story here, after all, I'm an inspector, not a writer. So. I'll attempt to put in a paragraph. After wrapping up 25 years in the communications construction trade (That's lineman, buckets, and cables), the economy hit a slow spot and I started moonlighting as a Handyman.
I had remodeled 5-6 homes for myself and family at this point and I had an interest in the skilled home trades. Looking to the future I decided to go back to school and learn the inspecting trade. Off to tech school I went (again.). Now, here it is 10 years later. Many classes, books and inspections have been observed since then, always providing a different scenario of interest for me.

Bill came by yesterday to inspect a duplex we have an offer on. He was very responsive and showed up on time. He did a thorough job with the inspection, answered our questions along the way, and provided a very detailed report the next morning. The rate for the inspection was also reasonable. I would definitely recommend Total Home Inspection!

I would recommend this company to anyone who needs an inspector. Bill is very knowledgeable. I appreciate everything that he did and even gave me tips on what to actually look for. Bill did a stand out job! When he saw something worth looking into he continued searching until a satisfactory reason could be deduced. Down to earth guy that I felt, I was getting expertise vs. getting told to contact one. He brought today's technical instruments, Flir, pin point gas leak detection. He definitely took the time to answer questions and to go in depth into the inspection. Thanks Bill.

I have known Bill for over 20 years, you will not find a more conscientious person to do your home inspection. He is very detail oriented and spent more than three hours during my recent inspection. His reports including photos are all inclusive and even provide the new owners with great thoughts regarding maintenance ideas now and for the future. It is awesome to have Bill on your side.

Bill was a pleasure to work with! He was on time, and wasn't afraid to get into every nook and cranny of your potential home to make sure you know what your are getting! It was very impressive!
The reports he writes out are 100% professional, and I had mine emailed to me only 12 hours after the personal inspection! With any future home purchase in my life, I will be looking for Bill to come and inspect my home for me!

Bill does a fantastic job. He inspected a house I was looking at buying and he saved me from making a HUGE mistake. I recommended him to a friend and he caught EVERYTHING just like he did for me. The two houses were polar opposites. One was new construction built in 2006 and the other was built in the late 70's. There's nothing Bill doesn't know about home construction and he won't let anything slip through. The house in Pine River he inspected for me had three different home inspections in 18 months and Bill was the only one to catch the foundation issues which were rather significant. How the
