Dolphin Seafari is working hard to provide safe and enjoyable dolphin sightseeing experiences from the water. Cleaning of all surfaces before and after each trip is thorough. If you prefer, you may do a private boat with just your family/group! On this 90-minute (up to two-hour) dolphin cruise, we get you up close and personal with Atlantic bottlenose dolphins.
You may see other wildlife like otters, manatees, sharks, and even bald eagles! Capacity may vary. Services
The owners of Dolphin Seafari, Tim and Beth, are originally from Ohio and have a passion for the island life. After a Hilton Head vacation in 1995, they decided they were ready for some adventure and moved to the island in 1996. They began to follow their dreams and pursue their passions in 2004 when they began working on the water, starting a boat rental and wave runner business.
The Dolphin Seafari is a 30-foot covered pontoon boat with comfortable bench seating and a restroom on board. Sitting low and close to the water, it gets you up close and personal with our wildlife and gives you optimal viewing of our salt marsh. With a friendly and accommodating staff, we love to educate you about Hilton Head Island while we look for dolphins, egrets, herons, osprey, bald eagles, sharks, pelicans, and even mermaids!

Absolutely LOVED this tour. The boat was clean and comfortable. Jason was a great captain and Debra was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and interactive. We saw quite a few dolphins as well. It definitely made my birthday a memorable one. Would do this again!

It's impossible to adequately describe our experience with Dolphin Seafari. The four of us were picked up at the Disney Hilton Head Resort, across the water from their office, and after picking up 12 other passengers at the office, our journey of 1.5 hours began. As Capt. Jason expertly maneuvered the pontoon boat, Deb began her expert narration of our dolphin quest. As she described many aspects of dolphin life, we proceeded to the open area of water where their experience tells them the dolphins usually show up. Gail and Capt. Jason provided a fun and informative day of exploring the waterways and inlets of Hilton Head. Many dolphin sightings and interesting tidbits about the area. Highly recommend! The boat is a perfect size, not crowded in with a bunch of people. Very comfortable, shade if you need it, comfy seats.

Our trip with Frances was awesome! She loved interacting with all the kids on the tour and called each by name. Our 1.5 year old had fun walking up and down the boat; it is definitely safe for children. We saw several dolphins right away and our observant captain noticed some manatee which was a cool surprise. We did the morning tour (with donuts!) so the temperature was great.

Frances was our tour guide and she was fantastic. Her knowledge is extensive and she was highly engaging! She really catered to the audience including the children on our tour. Frances made the tour fun for everyone and she had fantastic recommendations on the local area as well. I cannot recommend Dolphin Seafari enough - it was fantastic and worth every penny. We did the Dolphin and Donuts tour which was enjoyable and allowed us to have snacks during the trip. I would recommend that instead of the Dunkin' they partner with a local donut shop (maybe The Purple Cow) in the future. Aside from that

We had an amazing time! Our tour was 2-3:30pm time slot and it seemed like that was the PERFECT time for the dolphins. Our guide was fantastic. Tour was prompt and informative and one of the BEST parts of vacation. Please book with this group. Outstanding price! You will not be sorry. I’m already looking forward to coming back next year😃

I have wanted to see dolphins in their natural habitat for a long time. My husband and Dolphin Seafari made that happen on June 29, 2021. We went on a 1:00 pm cruise and spotted our first dolphins within the first couple of minutes. We were able to watch them play as they came up out of the water. Our guide, Frances, was very knowledgeable and friendly. Tim, the captain, kept his eyes on the water and stopped the boat whenever dolphins were spotted. The boat was covered so we were in the shade the whole time. It was a pontoon boat so it was very stable.
