Come aboard one of our 22 foot boats for a personalized dolphin and sightseeing tour of Hilton Head Island that you will remember for years. The Carolina Skiff brand is made specifically for the coastal Carolina waters and its V-hull provides a smooth ride. It also is wider than most all boats in its class to provide extra room to move about as well as additional stability to prevent from rocking back and forth.
Join us for what will likely turn out to be the highlight of your vacation. Because the dolphins' favorite feeding spots are located very close to where we depart we generally find dolphins very quickly into your tour. All of the pictures here on our site have been taken by us or our customers so this is truly the experience we expect for your group as well.
Other boats won't often mention when you're booking that they will have 12, 20 or even more people on the boat with you. We did the shark fishing with Captain Craig! Some of the most fun we have ever had as a family! He did a great job making sure our whole family had a great time, we each caught something, we saw dolphins and we got to stop at a shell beach to get some shells for our youngest kids. Best experience, we will for sure be back!

Had a wonderful time with my husband and in-laws. We had our own boat and our captain Dave was great. He went over and beyond with all his knowledge and information. We also saw loads of dolphins which made the experience even better. Spend the extra money for your own personal tour. It's well worth it. Thanks Dave for an experience we will never forget

Robert was our Captain for the night. He was very nice and knew exactly where to go. The smaller boat was a little scary for me, but he made me feel better once we got started. We saw lots of dolphins and he pointed out all the different kinds of dolphins. Very knowledgeable about the island. He gave all of us the most luxurious sunset tour. He even showed us a large shark tooth and gave small ones away for people who had grandchildren. He told lots of stories and information about the homes, wildlife and all kinds of of other things. Very personable and so nice. Great boat captain.If I could give

My daughter, 4 year old grandson and myself had an absolute blast with Captain Craig. Right off we came across a school of dolphins, a stunning view. From there we went on to fishing, where each of us made… catches….my grandson came the lead, 4 small sharks and 2 sting ray. I would highly recommend Dolphin Discoveries as one of your Hilton Head experiences.

Captain Deb was amazing, with 4 of 6 locals in the group we still all learned something! She was very informative and personable! We saw many dolphins and she took us around bull island for a more rustic experience. She taught me a few things about the salt marsh that I didn’t know even though I’ve lived here since I was 5, and between my sister and I, our family has done middle school science fair experiments on spartina grass and fiddler crabs!!

Go here if you want a personal experience!!! If you dont want to be around a whole crowd of people fighting for a spot to take a picture of the dolphins then spend your hard earned money with Dolphins Discoveries! Well worth it (it's not even that expensive)
We did the dolphin tour with the 6 of us (so yea we basically had the boat to ourselves) the guide was very knowledgeable and personable. I loved how he had a name for all the dolphins (humpty was my favorite).
They care about the wildlife here and it really shows.

We did 2 trips with Dolphin Discoveries this week. We did the sunset dolphin tour with Blair. Although mother nature did not cooperate (thunder storm) we were still able to go out just not that far d/t high seas. We did see some dolphins and Blair was very knowledgeable and personable and made the trip fun despite the weather! The 2nd trip we did was the family shark fishing with Craig. Again, mother nature was not on our side but it was only rain so we decided to go for it. We were soaked on the way out to the sound but the rain stopped once we arrived at the fishing site. This week was our family's first visit to HHI. We booked a dolphin tour with Captain Dave who was amazing! He was very knowledgeable about the area and amazing with our two young daughters (let them "drive" the boat, and gave them shark teeth for a souvenir!) We will be back next year to visit for sure!

We did the 3 hour 🦈 Shark Tour with Captain Craig. We had a blast!!! We caught a shark within the 1st 15mins & ended up catching at least 2 sharks each. They varied in size from tiny to large enough to impress … & excite even Captain Craig! This trip is definitely worth your while! Captain Craig is very knowledgeable, informative & FUN! Do not hesitate……book this trip today….you will not regret it! Bonus: we also got to see dolphins 🐬 on our tour!

Our tour guide Dave was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and made many stops so that we could observe the dolphins. Easy company to book with. They answered the phone the first time instead of goi gto voicemail like so many of the other dolphin tour companies. Unfortunately, some are closed due to Covid.

We booked a sunset private dolphin cruise with Dolphin Discoveries over a month ago. We arrived in Hilton Head with weather dreary, raining and thunderstorms. It cleared up for a bit and captain Craig immediately contacted us to take us out earlier. He was very pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable about the dolphins, surrounding islands and towns. We barely made it out of No Wake zone when we spotted several dolphins, aspecially a female with her young baby. We spent nearly a half an hr in one spot just circling around and watching these beautiful creatures just swim up the river.
