I lived here for almost 3 years. We were not allowed to do a walk through to look at apartment until we had all of our things and were ready to move in. Upon moving in, no staff was there to do a walkthrough with us and when we walked in we were shocked to see it was not like the pictures we were shown. Holes and cracks just painted over, stains in the carpet, doors very old and cheap, tile of floor was not taken care of. We actually had a stain of a work boot at our front door tiles from someone stepping into some kind of glue. I scrubbed it for hours and it never came up.
Staff lied and said

Amestown apartments in Valparaiso.... Really you send a eviction notice to my mother because of $1 How stupid is the management? Well let me tell you... They sent 2 guys to post the envelope on her door. Here's a thought maybe they should have knocked and asked for the $1? Then when my mother calls you tell her she needs to clam down. (Which is like adding gas to a fire for a Serafin) I only wish I could have recorded it. Mind you she pays 14 days early just because.... $1 Management not enough time to call or knock but will waste more money by writing up the eviction notice for $1 And get this
