A-1 Auto Body was started in 1969 by current owner Gary Miller. We have seen many changes throughout our more than 50 years of business, including growing from our original shop size of 5,000 square feet which has turned into Calgary's largest collision repair facility.

Do I need a damage sticker? The Alberta Legislation states that if you are involved in a motor vehicle collision and the damages exceed $2,000 you must file a police report and obtain a damage sticker. If the accident happened inside Calgary city limits, any police station can issue a damage sticker.

Great service and extremely friendly staff. They fixed my fender and bumper and the work looks spotless. Rental vehicle was at a great rate and awesome as well.
A1 was also fantastic at getting back to me as well on when called and asked about status updates or any other questions.
My only issue and the reason this is not a 5 star review is that my secondary license plate wasn't re attached after the repairs and the tires on the rental vehicle weren't great for winter driving.
But other than that I would absolutely use A1 again for body work and highly recommend for all autobody work!

I took my 2021Tahoe for hail damage repair . The receptionist ladies did a great job in arranging all the paperwork and scheduling. They also explained everything that was going to happen. They made sure that I had a loaner vehicle as well. The receptionist explained that Covid has caused supplies issues and arranged a return trip. I was impressed that my truck was cleaned inside and outside.

Always polite and pleasant and their loaner car was clean, reliable and fairly priced. Beautiful workmanship. Highly recommended!

I recently took my car to A-1 Auto Body for an insurance claim for some fender damage. The repair looks as good as new. The whole process was quick and easy. The front end staff were extremely pleasant and well organized having contacted the rental car company prior to my arrival. Overall a very efficient and professional job. Will not hesitate to use them again.

Gary is the associate who helped me, he is really friendly and replies to emails ASAP. Of course, I cannot talk about the ladies at the front desk. The ladies give you the best customer service. Even though it is a short interaction at the desk, the ladies treat with a great respect and can feel that your business, time and money are valued. Also, A-1 Auto guarantees their work as long as you own the vehicle. It's a place that will leave you feeling good and car all fixed. I will definitely return if my car needs fixing. Highly recommend!

My car got some pretty bad hail damage during the storm in July. This is a preferred vendor with my insurance company and this is how i heard of them. Getting my estimate done was very quick and efficient, the guy was very friendly, knowledgeable and explained to me what they were going to do. When I received the call to get booked in, the wait was not too long considering all the vehicles that got damaged in that storm. They also ensured to secure me a rental car for the duration of my repairs. The vehicle was on par with my own vehicle style, it was clean and had a full gas tank.

I had a fantastic experience with A1. I had to go in for some body damage, the customer service from beginning to end was amazing. They were very friendly and always made sure I was well looked after. They have a great set up with the rental car company, I really didn't have to do anything besides book my appointments. When I got my car back it was in AMAZING shape!! They did such a good job , not only on the external but the internal as well. They detailed my entire car, it was fresher then when I dropped it off. It was such a lovely touch that I wasn't expecting. I would definitely bring my car

Had our SUV in because it lost all engine power. Needed to replace 2 turbos and I am very impressed by the service we received. Timely repair, updated me on the progress and very fair cost. The truck was all shined up when we got there to pick it up. Definitely recommend these guys for any work you need done.

While it is most annoying to find some dishonest coward has dented your car's fender in a hit and run, the staff at A1 Autobody help make you feel better. They treat you kindly, set up your appointment promptly and do fantastic work on the car. They even detailed it when they were finished.
They are patient and answer all your questions.
As a woman trying to deal in a male field, I was very pleasantly surprised at being treated as a person, not a "girl". Repairs were reasonable, and my car looks almost new.

They took great care of me and my car. Renting me a civic while they fixed my car. The repairs were affordable and the staff was understanding. I didn't once feel like I was getting treated like a "girl at a mechanic". As much as I hate to perpetuate that stereotype, it's true. Some women get taken advantage of in the auto-repair world but not by the great people at A1.
Take your car there!
