At Say It With Sugar Cake Shop we are a custom cake shop offering a wide selection of wedding cakes, shaped cakes, celebration cakes and birthday cakes. My husband ordered me a cake to say congrats on hitting my 100th ride on our peloton. He had my mother in law pick it up and she didn't know what the cake was supposed to look like so she just picked it up and brought it to us. When we got the cake and opened it, we noticed the grammar was insanely incorrect. They said they put what my husband told them to put but he talked to them on the phone and definitely did not as them to put and "A" or apostrophes where they did not need to go. Not sure what all these negative reviews are about... this is not grandmas bakery and they don't call you sweetie. This is a workhorse bakery banging out delicious and beautiful cakes. We called to order our cake which they did tell us needed to be two weeks in advance. They advised when we have photos and an idea of how many people to send in our ideas and call back to place our order. Placing the order over the phone was quick and easy. When we had questions we called and they answered. The cake was ready for pick up and was carried out by the shop to our car. Everyone who saw the cake gushed

Don’t worry about the people saying bad thing about this place! They are just used to the cheap Walmart cakes or something because I was presented with a sample of a variety of cupcakes from a family member and becsuse of how delicious the cup cakes were, I’ve decided to order my daughters birthday cake from this place! It’s sooo good! Quality cake (nice and dense and moist) I love the icing. It’s thst old school frosting you can’t find anymore and sometimes thst kind is not for everyone, but my family loves it

We won't be back.
Went in yesterday and got a few cupcakes and cannoli. Brought the cannoli home and put it in the fridge.
Today, I picked up the cannoli and took a bite. It tasted dirty, so I took a look at it. It had mold in it!
I called to tell them and was told "They were made yesterday." No apology, no offer to refund them, just "thanks for telling us".

I bought two dozen cupcakes for my daughters birthday, to be ready Saturday the 10th between the hrs of noon and 4pm when they close. Now im a single father planning all this mind you, So if there's an issue let's just figure it out, but instead I get a call on Saturday, July 3, 30 minutes before they close from the same person I talk

Always loved this bakery. Having moved away a few years ago, whenever I'm in Dallas for work I'm required to drive from downtown Dallas to Wylie, get there at 9am to ensure I get the champagne and wedding cake ccupcake, then fly back clear across the country... Texas to NYC with Say It With Sugar cakes and cupcakes for the family. This time I brought cupcakes for friends and clients, all agree best bakery ever!!!

Placed an order last week, 2 weeks in advance. They said I could call back by Wednesday with the type of filling I wanted. Called back today they said we can't do it because you want it on Tuesday and that's not 7 days. I'm done 2nd disappointment with these people. And it was not for one of there extravagant designs just a simple round cake.

My fiancé and I were treated to a cake tasting party by a family member who bought us 12 cupcakes to share. The cupcakes were beautiful. The frosting was disgusting. Everyone agreed each cupcake had a weird aftertaste from the frosting. We threw out the cupcakes since no one wanted to eat them. Their smallest 2-3 tiered wedding cakes range from $190-$380. An 8 inch round is about $50 for a birthday cake. I was excited to purchase my wedding cake and future birthday cakes here, but will have to look elsewhere for cakes that are both beautiful and edible.

Why is this place only 3 stars overall?! This place is literally my favorite place to stop in and get sweets and they have so many different kinds to choose from! I also loved seeing them decorate cakes in the back while I ordered my cupcakes at the front!
All employees wore a mask and gloves, and everyone was so kind.

We got my 50th birthday cake from them. The cake was WAY over priced. We paid around 150.00 for 2 layer cake decorated with casino chips. I was so excited to pick it up and to see the picture on Facebook. They told me the picture would be posted later that day. It never was!!! We had counted on at least that picture. When we got the cake home which was not long considering we live just down the road. The decoration on the cake had already started to slide out of place. They did an amazing job, on our wedding cake!! The tasting was fun and very they were very helpful with understanding what we were wanting. We went with a vanilla bean flavor exactly like their cupcake...so good!
Even our guests were saying that they have never had a wedding cake that tasted so good, and it was clearly the winner of dessert choices we had cause nothing was left except our top tier.

AMAZING! New to TX from CA and was looking for a great place to get my daughters first birthday cake. They did NOT disappoint! It's BEAUTIFUL, the staff was INCREDIBLE, and I can't wait for my daughter to see it tomorrow. They made the cake far better than l ever thought it could be. Their customer service is top notch. I placed my order over the phone and had equally great service that I'd have if I visited the bakery in person. Their cake is very delicious and the perfect amount of sweet! The wrapped the cake with care and also sent cake care instructions. I ordered vanilla cake with white chocolate cream icing.

Not only do I love the name, “Say It With Sugar”, but I love this little bakery too located in downtown Wylie! It looks like a small storefront but the shop goes quite deep actually and looks like they run a pretty big operation. And I can see why because the treats were delicious!!! We only had the iced cookies today but they were some of the best I’ve ever had and we will be trying more goodies soon!

I used to think that this place was the go to place but when it comes down to making sure their customers are taken care of they completely drop the ball. We have ordered multiple items from here in the past and both times that we have ordered cakes they both have shifted by the time they got the the destination. The first time it was for our wedding that was delivered by y'all and the most recent time was my daughters 1st birthday over the weekend that my wife brought home. They made an adorable emoji cake for my friend's birthday. They were very helpful in making the box for pickup and even helped carry it to the car, which has never happened to me by a bakery. They had delicious cupcakes loaded with icing, cake balls, cookies. The inside has plenty of examples of their great creativity like a Mermaid and Frozen cakes for display. The cookie was decent but more on the crunchy side for my tasting.

Not only that, they told me the delivery charge was 250.00- just for the delivery! I had asked for a price on a wedding cake without the consultation and they refused. I disagree with how they run their business.
