At Weaverville Yoga, we search out experienced, sympathetic teachers who love sharing the joy of their practice. Our teachers have all completed hundreds of hours of training, and have years of experience (in some cases many years of experience). All of them are gentle, good natured, encouraging people, and they all get to know and love their students.
She lived with anxiety and depression since childhood. Sometimes it eased back - sometimes months and years were lost. In 2001 Barbara walked into her first Anahata yoga class and met her teacher Ana Costa. Barbara had always had a wonder and respect for yoga and had practiced here and there and on her own.

I have been attending Weaverville Yoga studio for years. It has been my calm oasis in the busyness of life. I bring family and friends whenever I can to share my happy place.
Recently, my daughter got married at our home in Weaverville. Her request to have a yoga session with Barbara to start her wedding day was met with enthusiasm. Since the studio was occupied that morning, Barbara came to our home.
Our yoga session with Barbara was intimate, peaceful, and aligned our spirits with the purpose of the day. Thank you Barbara for your gentle, uplifting, and meditative practice. You are a gem!

Weaverville Yoga is a wonderful studio. The teachers are kind and compassionate; they really care about the students. Barbara and Jay have worked so hard to make classes available to everyone during the past year and now have decorated a lovely new larger space upstairs from the old studio. It's such a pleasure to return to in-person classes there!

Barbara's YOGA class has made a big impact on my daily health. Because of her excellent online classes, I went from a 1x/week Yoga practice to 3x/week. In the privacy of my home, yet feeling connected to her guidance and wisdom, I have felt my body get stronger, my aches disappearing, and a general sense of well being. So grateful to Weaverville Yoga!

Lovely yoga studio with a wide variety of yoga styles on offer. This is the kind of warm-hearted space that embraces all kinds of bodies and all kinds of levels of experience. I especially love Barbara's Anahata class, which is a heart-opening, gentle practice. They've pivoted to online for covid, and I'm thrilled that they may open back in-person soon now that vaccinations in the local community are going very well.

A sweet yoga studio in the heart of downtown Weaverville - beautiful space and a STRONG selection of teachers and variety of classes. They went to great lengths to serve their clients during COVID with online classes and communication. I'm an appreciative practitioner.

Weaverville Yoga is all heart! A beautiful learning place which reflects Barbara Schauer [ owner and yogini ] teaching style and yoga philosophy. All of her teachers share diverse and fun healing practices for all ages and levels. Some Classes are also in Spanish! Weaverville Yoga offers Classes online LIVE ! which is unique, personable, and a huge value considering they are also archived so if you miss a live class you can watch it later or again and again.

I’m a RYT on vacation from Michigan and was thrilled to find a studio 9 minutes from our Airbnb! Jessica was a healing energy and peaceful presence. She held a relaxing space - I’m grateful for the experience! Thank you for delivering exactly what I didn’t know I needed; which, I believe, is just what yoga should do 🙏🏻

I am a yoga studio owner and Iyengar-based teacher from Maine, who was visiting the area for a week. I took a lovely class with Barbara. She was calming, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I left the class feeling well stretched, relaxed, and grounded. I will definitely come here again on my next trip to NC. Thank you for a delightful class, and your positive energy! Namaste 🙏
