Sometimes it may feel as if no one understands what you are going through. Talking to a licensed professional counselor or marriage and family therapist who actually listens and cares about helping you can boost you through periods of confusion, loneliness, and/or overwhelm. Some of you may have suffered real trauma, either in childhood or adulthood, and you need guidance and expertise to help you get "unstuck."

Some of you may be experiencing relationship difficulties. Perhaps there is open conflict/hostility, or long periods of detachment without intimate, loving communication. You need effective techniques to be a better partner, sister, brother, mother, father, or friend.
Services
Today there are so many forms and styles of therapy, it can be difficult to decide on the right one. The type of psychotherapy that's right for you depends on your individual situation. However, finding the right therapist can help you resolve many of life's difficulties. I have many years of experience and training in a wide variety of therapies, with a proven track record of success.
During individual therapy, I provide insight and awareness about your relationship with others and the world we share. Each has an effect on the other. It is imperative that we understand this. Individual therapy can shed light on the keys to success in every aspect of your life. Individual therapy deals with a multitude of issues and concerns that affect every day life.
Couples and families are held together by love, commitment and common values. Forces within the family, and outside the family, keep it operating at its norm, even when that norm is not functional. It is my job, along with the family, to create a new norm that is more functional. Through couples sessions I am able to improve your quality of life by providing expert counseling that promotes mental, emotional and social well being.
Clients are expected to pay for services in full at the time of their appointment unless prior arrangements have been made. Although I do not accept payments from third-party providers, I am happy to provide clients with a statement to submit to their insurance companies for reimbursement. Phone sessions: First 10 minutes are free and standard fees apply thereafter (pro-rated for less than 50 minutes).

Mary Beth Cooke saved my marriage. My husband and I have a renewed and better relationship thanks to her help. We went to her for 1 year straight every month and she was always there for us when we needed an emergency session. She got to the root of our problems. Thank you Mary Beth for saving my marriage to my man. We couldn't be more grateful to you.

She is top notch, she easy to connect with. As a Veteran this means a lot, compared to the way the VA mental health tends involve medication.

Mary Beth Cooke was recommended to us by a fellow co-worker for couple's counseling. To start out with she was an hour late to our 1 o'clock appointment, in return she did not charge us and I appreciate that. That's about the only thing, Mary Beth was extremely unprofessional in more than one way. A few examples are that she asked why my significant other why they hadn't committed suicide yet, she also breached the confidentiality of another patient in revealing their name and that they were a patient. On top of the unprofessionalism she was very one sided and belittling. She

What an amazing person and therapist Mary Beth Cooke is. I couldn't be more impressed. I strongly recommend Mary Beth for counseling and therapy needs, and for EMDR standard protocol, and EMDR REP (first response) as well.

I have had the opportunity to observe Mary Beth's professional skills as well as interpersonal style. She is consistently pleasant, knowledgeable and compassionate, and takes on her role as therapist with enthusiasm and dedication. I wish all professionals had Mary Beth's attitude.

It is with great pleasure that I write this recommendation and review.
