It's a beautiful drive down there! The wine is terrific! There is also a very beautiful hike to the top of Vulcan Mountain stone's throw away from the winery.

This place... 100% amazing and worth double what they're asking by the bottle. The wine is great, the setting is wonderful, the people are salt of the Earth/remember your name and life story kind of people. Will go back over and over again

I'm new-ish to this area, mom and I discovered this winery for ourselves a little over a month ago and it has quickly become one of our favorite places. I can't say enough GOOD about Volcan Mountain Winery. They have AMAZING wine at reasonable prices. My personal favorite is the apple wine. The atmosphere is amazing. Staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about their wine selection. I highly recommend. Well worth the drive from San Diego.

Nicely tucked in coming out of Julian, right at the intersection to Winola and Santa Ysabel, we went there for the first time, they were only open for the second day after being closed for covid19, they have a nice setup with shady spots, nice chairs and umbrellas here and there, really great selection of wines. Beautiful views of the apple orchards, the vineyards and the mountains surrounding the area. Took home a nice merlot! Highly recommended and we will definitely come back!

Amazing winery experience! Mel is amazing, friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend the Double Gold Medal Winner 2017 Carignan, McCormick Ranch Vineyard, San Diego County. The winery is 2 miles outside the historic town of Julian. Totally worth the trip!

First time visit on a Thursday early October 2018. I am not we are not sophisticated palates. This is a small private winery with a friendly dispostion. Melanie (Mel) the host was engaging, upbeat, and generous with the discounts. We did the (6) glass wine tasting. Melanie the host started us off with some "whites.". The wine tasting was actually somewhat tailored to my individual likes. I noted at the beginning I am "partial" to cherry, blackberry, and fruit notes as well as apricot. Also my preference for more sweetness and less dryness. I very much/we enjoyed the wines and would definitely buy

Adorable little stop for wine tasting in Julian! My friends and I were driving into town for the day and stumbled across this tasting room and we were not disappointed! There is a vineyard and apple orchard that you can explore on the property. There is plenty of parking, a public restroom, and both indoor and outdoor seating. The employees were very friendly and welcoming. They were very knowledgeable and able to guide us in choosing wines to taste based on our preferences. All of the wines we tasted were good, nothing to complain about. The wines are very light and fruity, full bodied and not
