Cherokee Trading Post
The Cherokee Trading Post's story began in the 1940's. James and Ruth Wilson, our grandparents, sold Chenille Bedspreads, Hand-hooked Rugs, and Cherokee made products on National Road, Route 40 in Triadelphia West Virginia.

When the new Interstates were paved across America, Ruth and her children set up shop along the way, moving from the National Road location in 1967 to the newly built Interstate 70, east of Wheeling WVa, where it is still located today.Ruth and James' daughter, Barbara, opened her operation in Clinton Oklahoma that same year.
Services

There are so many different designs to match various styles that you may find it hard to buy just one pair. Additionally, we sell one-of-a-kind Native American jewelry and striking pottery.

Really cool Native American stuff on the left side of the store, pretty expensive. You can order the same boots online so there's nothing that really caught my eye while shopping.

Love this place. Spend lots of money every time I stop here. I got some great deals on several items that were marked down. Hoping another set of boots I saw is still there next time. I really love the duster I got. I was headed to N.M. and heard of a big temperature change with lows in the low 30's. I'm warm in style now .

Very little that is authentic Native American, and not really a "Trading Post". A few items made by local artists, but nothing that has that handmade feel or quality. Most of the Native American items are mass produced type things you can buy anywhere. The boot and western clothing store is pretty generic. We did like the few locally made canned items offered, but very high priced. I would not recommend for an authentic experience. We also liked seeing the live bison that live in a pen on the property.

Touristy stuff alongside some really great handmade jewelry, art, and clothing. We stopped in for the boots because hubs needed a pair. They had a good selection and we were happy the prices were so good! They also had the Minnetonka moccasins, which are comfy. They also had a whole selection of some neat barite rose rocks. It's the official rock of Oklahoma! There was also a section with kids stuff so everyone can get something.

I made a few purchases here. I needed some gifts to take back home. I didn't know what I wanted. This place has everything. So I was sure to find something. The staff was very friendly. And was able to answer questions I had.
I will stop here next time I'm in town.

I looked for boots for miles between Arizona and Oklahoma and finally found a great pair here. It seems like a family-owned business with friends stopping by to chat. They have a nice gift selection, but the boot selection steals the show. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

The best selection of boots anywhere. The deals are great. The old lady and I each got a new pair of boots. The rest of the store is amazing as well. First people items and southwest also. Great place to stop and shop.

This was such a good stop! We really enjoyed looking at all the handmade items from local Indian tribes. They have lots of jewelry, boots, purses and cool little trinkets. My daughter ended up getting a beautiful handmade dream catcher, and my son got a bull whip. There's something for everyone! Definitely walk to the far end of the store and check out the head dresses, they are absolutely beautiful!

Just visited this store, and the 2 so called cashier/ shop helpers an older woman and a younger one, did nothing but stand behind the counter making fun of customers as they entered and left the business. Rude, hateful and derogatory remarks about weight, looks and tattoos were just some of the remarks. We were there around 2pm April 23rd of 18.

What a cool shop. A huge selection of handmade Native American products. Moccasins, walking sticks, turquoise jewelry, arts and crafts items, leather bags, blankets and more located off the I-40W exit #71.

This shop was very large and it had really pretty displays it was clean inside and out. The clerk was a friendly polite woman who was very eagered to assist us. We stopped here really early in the morning while traveling on our road trip and I was surprised they were open. You can not miss this shop because all up and down the highway there are bill boards advertising all the cool merchandise

Awesome place the two young guys were very friendly and helpful especially the one in glasses maybe named Alberto? The girl not so much, was kinda rude and lazy when a customer asked about larger pottery, "what you see is what we got, we ain't got anything in the back it's all out" too bad hope he was able to get help from one of the guys. Will definately go back!
