Had a ring with two diamonds that had fell out and my wife wanted it fixed for Christmas, so took it by and Ray looked at it and give me a price. I have to say it was a lot more reasonable than I thought it would be. I was excited about the price and it being able to be fixed. When my fiancé and I initially visited this store, we had a positive experience. My fiancé bought my ring, and it's beautiful, but I was unable to find a wedding band to go with it. I went to Lamons thinking they would have something, and they were extremely unhelpful. We went to stores all around Knoxville, and didn't have any luck. Kay's me informed me that their store allow people to exchange their rings, so they suggested that I ask Lamons. However, they can only do an exchange after 30 days. BEWARE. Had my engagement ring prongs retipped here. I have a very fragile old intricate ring. They performed sloppy work the first time and one of the prongs didn't line up with the rest. I hesitantly went back to them to see if they would fix that one prong that was bothering me. They seemed offended that I was unhappy... I should have ran at that point. When I came back to pick up my ring, it looked horrible. I had to hold back tears in front of the jeweler. They changed all of the prongs. They smothered a large amount of white gold into what looked like 4 pancakes circling my diamond.

We came in because my husband had broken his eye glasses. The people he talked to weren't sure whether or not they would be able to fix it but said they would try anyway. While the typical turn around time is a week, we told them that we were visiting from out-of-town and were therefore dealing with a time crunch. The glasses were fixed, fixed well, and done while we waited. Service like this is why small, family-owned businesses like this are so valuable.
