Absolute gem in the heart of Simsbury. Perfect place to stop by if you're craving a bagel for breakfast or a sandwich for lunch. Everything is freshly made and you can watch the staff grill up your bacon and eggs while you sip coffee or juice. Everything bagel with the bacon cheddar spread is my favorite.
This is my favorite bagel shop. I don't even live in CT anymore but we were in the area for a wedding and made a 20 min drive out of the way for breakfast. The bagels are fluffy and always amazingly seasoned. The cream cheese is divine.

The bagels here are delicious. However, it looks like they may take on too much with phone in orders. We ordered in store and waited for nearly 30 minutes until they realized we were still waiting for just 2 bagels. They gave us 6 free bagels in addition to ours but I'm not sure I'd be willing to go back and wait that long for bagels in the future.

Every time I order delivery they say 45 minutes. Which is pretty long in the first place. I love only 3 minutes down the road and it ends up taking an hour an a half every time! When you can they give attitude… and “put you on hold” ending up with you getting hung up on. Then you can back and no one answers. I have had multiple orders cold, soggy, not cooked right, forgot items, or just not right at all. This is unacceptable. Even going in and ordering they mess it up.

I used to love going to Brookside. The past couple of times have been pretty terrible. I understand understaffing because I used to be in the food industry, but having to wait 1.5 hours for food both delivery and pick up is a little much. The first time we ordered for pick up 30 mins before we came to pick up, and we then waited in the parking lot… for an hour, even though we saw others order and get their food before us. This time we tried delivery, again they were understaffed, we understood. When we got our food it was not warm and our bagels were more like flat bread, very thin. Unfortunately

Amazing food, weird management, poor prices. If you want to drop the few extra bucks for a good breakfast than this is the place for you.
Overall not impressed with the prices for the essentials like breakfast sandwiches, you can find other breakfast places that put up just as good food for a decently respectable price.
I think since they have gotten popular the quality has stagnated, the menu has been boring at best, and the prices have gone up.

Hands down the best bagels I've ever had. I love bagels so everywhere I travel they are my go to breakfast.
This tiny little shop puts heart and soul into a bagel. My favorite? Blueberry!!! They have a sweet Madagascar vanilla bean smell and are so perfectly soft and chewy.
Brookside has all of the standard bagels and then a set of gourmet ones that run about $1 more. Spend the $1 it is so worth it. Blueberry is a gourmet bagel. Cheddar, cheddar jalapeno and cheddar everything are always on the list. Plus they have seasonal selections like Maple Bacon and the latest one Pepperoni Pizza.

Traveling to see family and a first time visitor. Brenda welcomed us and explained the menu. Breakfast bagel sandwiches were great and the specialty bagels and cream cheeses were scrumptious. And to top it off she sent us out with extra bagels and cream cheese as a gift for being first timers. Amazingly friendly and will definitely visit again.
