Why get frozen bread from some factory out of state? We want to reintroduce people to the freshness of locally-made products here in the Hartford area. Working with local farms, we aim to source as many of our ingredients from the surrounding area as possible. Back in 2010, we started with one baker, four baristas, and a mission - to give our hometown a great bakery, and make the greatest products we possibly could. We wanted to attach Hartford's name to something superlative and create something the community would be proud of. A few years later, with a good dose of hard work and a little luck, we've grown to over 50 employees and deliver to restaurants and grocery stores in all corners of the state.
We may be a different company than you are used to. We are a fast-growing company with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Our team works hard, has a lot of fun, and is passionate about our company and products. We put a lot of effort into making sure all of the people who work with us are a great fit and that our company fits them.
A simple and classic dough that makes up our most popular items, including Baguettes and White Sandwich Loaves. Perfectly balanced with just a tinge of sweet flavor and a robust crust. Nutritious and delicious. A not-too-dense, slightly sweet whole-wheat loaf, perfect for a variety of sweet or savory sandwiches.

Like our bread and baked goods, quality is always our focus. That's why we're proud to partner with some of the best roasters in the country to bring you the best coffees available in Connecticut. The coffees we feature are always roasted to a medium color, never dark, so that you can always taste the actual coffee, not just flavors imparted by the roast.

It took 23 minutes to get two breakfast sandwiches. When the sandwich finally came out it was just sitting there getting cold and the lady whose job it was to package the sandwich was not bothering to pack sandwiched. It got to the point where the counter was full of orders and someone had to come out of the kitchen to bag the order. I had a similar experience the two other times we were here but tried to give the restaraunt the benefit of the doubt. We will not be back.

I stood in line with no one in front of me with chips in my hand to order a sandwich for lunch. Not one of the 3 people behind the counter greeted me or acknowledged that I was there. Then the 3 people behind the counter decided to look at there schedules, while I was waiting to order. I put my chips back and walked out. I cannot get over such poor customer service!

This had to be the worst breakfast sandwich I've ever had. Every element was a disappointment. This was the worst breakfast sausage I've ever tasted. And it was overcooked. They used the wrong kind of cheese in my opinion, and it was virtually non existent. The eggs were so dry. This was the first time I couldn't finish a breakfast sandwich. And they only have three kinds of bagels. I guess I have to give it at least one star to post, which is generous.

This is a really cute and calming coffee shop to visit if you ever need a place to relax or have a chat with a friend. The location they have in West Hartford is much larger and probably better for studying and working, while their location in Glastonbury is better for just hanging out.
I ordered a plain black coffee with almond milk and was surprised with how well it tasted. Out of all the coffee shops I have tried in town, Hartford Baking Co. is definitely at the top of my list after my last visit. I also tried their breakfast sandwich and peach crostata which were also as delightful.

They’re baked goods are very good. However, customer service is a complete fail from top to bottom. From waiting in line for five minutes as the only person there to no one knowing what people ordered or what inventory was available seems to be a constant problem here in several visits. Prepare to be satisfied by the quality and completely dissatisfied by the service.

I’ve been wanting to try them out ever since we moved to the area. Omg! They are exactly how I imagined. Really good croissants, I asked for salmon on it which is really good nice and fatty. My almond latte was perfect. Service was friendly, chatted with girl behind espresso machine, it’s noticeable that no one knows operations better than her, as they constantly ask her for help. Awesome new location with plenty of space inside. Came for a quick bite and you can never go wrong with the classic HBC egg-sando (add chipotle Mayo and bacon) if you really want to get crazy! They ran out of avocado toast but because it's one of the best sellers, so we'll have to come back. All in with 2 iced coffees out the door was about $20+ bucks so it fits the budget too.

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I stammered in and asked for the best thing they had. They made mention their chocolate croissants were fresh made and still warm, and their breakfast sandwiches were really good. opted for the sausage sandwich, got a cold brew and a brown butter chocolate chip cookie with one of those fresh croissants.
Some items didn't survive the trek home, hence the lack

I love walking in the door and getting a "hello!" The app works great and the order is always ready, most times, as I come early after a sunrise run/workout, they get the order done very fast.
The tomato jam on the egg sandwich is awesome
Since I live a distance away I always etc. extra rolls for the freezer, so I get to enjoy the taste anytime I grill.
I am a fan of the scones and sometimes take one home to freeze as well. warms well in the oven!

Made an early morning stop at Hartford Baking Company in Glastonbury while waiting for my stepdog to be groomed. We were the only people there so early but the place soon filled up. There were those who picked up something and left, some who stayed like we did and a few UberEats that picked up deliveries. The early hour sure did not affect the amount of delicious offerings We each had a cup of coffee; she had a slice of cinnamon coffee cake and I a scone. Both were fresh and delicious. Decided to pick up some bread at HBC as I was driving by. Service was decently friendly, but a bit distracted. HBC has discounted day old bread, and I bought a loaf of Sesame Semolina. I cut a half inch-ish slice, lightly sprayed it with some oil and air-fried it for 2 and 1/2 minutes at 360. When it was done, I buttered it. It was crunchy, buttery and hot on the outside and soft inside. Tremendous!
I also bought a loaf of country sourdough and a couple brownies to share with the Fam. The sourdough had beautiful color and etchings. I haven't eaten any yet, but I know from prior visits

I stopped in here while in the area to get an afternoon coffee and snack. The location was easy to find and there was a large parking lot as well. They are allowing inside dining and also have some seats outside. I was surprised to see they had breakfast and lunch food, all for inexpensive prices! They also had a large drink menu. The hot coffee was good, nice and strong. I'd recommend asking to put your own cream if you like dark coffee, they make it very light there. The brownie was also alright, but overall good! I'd recommend a stop in.

I hadn't yet been to this HBC location until the other day when I went to get my decadent dark hot chocolate and I absolutely love it! I didn't realize how big this location was until I pulled up, and it's really nice inside. The staff who took my order were beyond nice and really funny, and it was a really enjoyable ordering experience.
And now, about the reason I was there. This month they're featuring a different hit chocolate weekly and this last week was a dark hit chocolate with either a marshmallow or whipped cream. I'm extra, so I got both, and wow was it beyond

Avocado toast on point and a tasty iced latte made for a quick pick me up. The inside is arranged well for spacious seating including a pick up area for food on the side. Many mouth watering food options to choose from so I had a hard time choosing honestly but was very satisfied with the Avo toast. Perfectly toasted bread with fresh avocado and sprinkle of lemon. Loved it. Will have to go back to try other menu selections.

As a HUGE fan of Hartford Baking Company's (HBC) 2 West Hartford locations I was thrilled when they finally opened a location east of the river (and let's face it closer to me!) earlier this year.
As with their other two locations - their Glastonbury outpost still has the same delicious fresh baked breads (personal favs are the Olive Ciabatta and Sourdough loaves), as well as breakfast and lunch items that I have grown to love.
Although you might just think HBC as a bread a pastry shop - that could not be further from the truth. They are very serious about their coffee and tea

Hartford Baking Co. is one of my absolute favorite spots to grab breakfast and lunch so I was thrilled when they opened their Glastonbury location! The space is beautiful and very centrally located in town with tons of parking. They are following all safety guidelines to the max and each time I go in, there are employees constantly cleaning. My go-to breakfast order is the breakfast burrito which has so much flavor (side note: it's also the best hangover cure ever) and you also cannot go wrong with any of their pastries or baked goods. So excited they opened this new location literally 10 minutes from our house! Ordered takeout the other day after an AM appointment in Glastonbury. The wait wasn't long and everything was just as good as what we've recieved at other locations. There's nothing worse than ordering the same thing at a new location and it not tasting the same - that's NOT the case here.
Our favorite sandwich is the E-BAT which is an egg sandwich with bacon, avocado, and tomato on biroche. The only downfall is that they don't serve sandwiches "pressed" at this location when they do
