There are specific techs that really take care of my lashes but sometimes they are booked so I go with someone else. The quality of your lashes really depend on how your tech does. I take care of my lashes when I’m home but I noticed that my last set, within the first week, I lost more than half my lashes. I was working with the new lash tech :/

Awful experience..
Lashes done on Friday night, Woke up Saturday wth 5 lashes on my face, Sunday 10..Called Monday to get it fixed..Was told to come on Tuesday but Staying 3 hrs away in PA, we worked Friday...by Tuesday only had 10 to 20 on either side..
I go in earlier today and they tried to charge me for 1 week refill when I never even had lashes after 3 days...
They were screaming...

I got the Groupon. My experience was great. They were nice and accommodating. One thing I did right before getting my lashes done was go to their bathroom and wash my eyes to try to take all the oils and debris off my lashes. I think that's why they are still on perfectly over a week later. But yea, relaxing place and good service. I recommend. I got 110 lashes btw

I been here quite a few times, 3x since Covid. Always a pleasant experience and I've seen 3 different techs.
New procedure: (listed on front door, and wall before entering) wash your hands or spray with sanitizer, spray the bottom of your shoes with sanitizer, temperature taken.
They're very patient and understanding to the customer that's never gotten lashes to the customer that changes the style they want without understanding the difference in length and curl (it's me, I've been both those customers).

Go to the location on the LES. I've been going there for over a year and always go back because my lashes last long long. I went to the 5th ave location and started loosing lashes the same night. The next day 40% of my lashes were gone and I had to go back to get them fixed and even though I originally paid for 130 lashes she only replaced like 20 so I still looked crazy. The next day half of those new lashes fell out too. Never have I ever wasted so much money on lashes.

It was my first time and i did not feel comfortable at all . I never had paper shoved under my eye almost scrapung my eye and tape pulling my eye lid up while keeping my eye shut. The glue did not sting. The tech was excellent . I wanted a light cat eye. They even redid it. They are super uber comforting and pleasing. Price is great

I had a great experience overall. I found this place on Groupon. I did 80 pieces mink lashes and they came out very nice. Few of the lashes fell out and I had slight itchiness 3 hours after but I believe it is expected as this was mentioned on the waiver. It went away the next day. I've gottten few compliments already! It looks very natural. The initial price was doable ($45 plus tax) but the next one after will be $90 every 4 weeks. Wish they had a monthly reasonable membership plan. Suzi did my lashes and she did a wonderful job. She took her time and was very careful applying the tape to my eyes.
Update: after about a week my eye lid started swelling up, I guess I got a reaction to the glue. I don't know if they use some different type of glue because I had my lashes done at different locations and never had an issue.

I went in today with a Groupon price match. I got 130 lashes, C curl and a blend of super black lashes. I LOVE THEM! I feel so glamorous. The staff is so sweet! And I was so fortunate to have a super soft handed and delicate technician. Her name was Rene. It is my first time doing my lashes there, so hopefully they last. Because if they do, I will definitely be returning!

So my second time around at Sumi was much better. I tried another location because the firs time around I didn't have such a great experience at the Chambers St location that I did with a Groupon.
My friend referred me to Devi. The process was totally comfortable, she listened and my lashes came out perfect! Also enjoyed my complimentary hand massage. Due to come back in three weeks.

I was excited to get my lashes done before I went on a two week vacation. I found this lace on Groupon which had mixed reviews. I paid extra for length and thickness and went the day before my vacation. About 15 pieces of lashes came off the same night, and more each day. My lashes didn't even last a week. I will never will return because it's not worth it! All pics are at different moments at home and at work.

I had my lashes done here at least 3 times. I felt like it is fair to give them a review. I used a groupon every time. The lashes look great every time. They last at least two weeks. During my visit with Nia (technician), the lashes looked great for over a month.
The set-up of the space leaves no room for privacy. All the beds are lined up next to each other. It definitely doesn't feel like a spa. However, the results of the lashes make up it.
The ladies are very nice. They do their best to accommodate.

I was really trying to like this location for my eyelash extension because my best friend comes to this location and speaks highly of it but it wasn't the case for me. This was my first time place eyelash extensions and the service was okay but the lashes was horrible.

I hate that I have to leave a negative review on my experience with any company but I feel the need to do so for others so they are well aware of what they might also experience and to help with any decision making. First I would like to start of by saying that when I arrive to my appointment I was treated very nicely by the employees and the place itself was very nice and clean which I appreciated. Came to Sumi after snagging a good deal on Groupon. Upon entry, there are about 15 beds lined up next to each other where you would get your eyelash extensions done. It felt a little crowded but the employees are very professional and it's pretty quiet in there.
Once you check in, they walk you through the different types of eyelashes and they give you a liability form to fill out. Once you lay down they offer you a blanket for your little "eyelash nap". However, I noticed one girl took the word "nap" too seriously and was snoring super loud, haha. I hope her eyelashes

4 stars go to my technician. I had existing lashes, which she took off carefully and pain free.
I went with the natural bend, c curl, 10 & 11, and mixed thickness. It took her a little over an hour to acheive the perfect look. 2 weeks later and my lashes still look great.
As for the location, do not expect privacy. The beds are right next to each other without any wall division. And the beds are extremely hard and uncomfortable.
Pricing here is very reasonable. A new set is $75. Touch ups: 1 week $35, 2 weeks $45, & 3 weeks $65.

Had an appointment at 12pm, saw deal on Groupon the night before. They got me in quick, and the process took an hour and 10 minutes. I fell asleep a couple of times because I was so comfortable and relaxed.
It's been 2-3 weeks now and my lashes still looks brand new.
I would definitely come back, they were quick and professional. They guided you through the process and help you choose the length you desired.
