Back in 2003 I was in between businesses and for years had talked about opening a bike shop. Although my experience in bikes shops over the previous 25 years had been good, it was never great and the local shops I had dealt with were too concerned about the bottom line and not as concerned about the customer experience.
In addition, the local shops that I dealt with were too much like walking into a big box store. I wanted to create a shop that had the feeling of being a " hangout " and did not represent all the "bullshit" that so many other shops possessed. I was riding through Woodstock one day in the summer of 2003 and the building where we began was for sale.

Services
A great first bike, Specialized's Boy's Hotrock 12 Coaster is a cool way to get kids started. Its lightweight aluminum frame makes pedaling easy and the quality construction ensures you'll be able to hand this tot rod down. Plus, the comfortable saddle, grippy tires, easy-to-use coaster brake and strong steel training wheels make the Hotrock great fun to learn on.
Sirrus X is your ticket to riding more, and to places you never imagined possible. It's a comfortable, capable, "let's do stuff" kind of bike that will inspire you to ride more than you ever have before. With bigger, confidence inspiring tires, a slightly more upright riding position, a super intuitive one-by drivetrain, and plenty of mounts for racks and fenders -it's more than just a solid partner on pavement.
Jagwire's Brake Noodles feature stainless-steel tubes with aluminum ends for durability and excellent performance. You get 10 of them for all your bicycle setup needs. Many frames use internal cable routing for a tidy appearance and improved aerodynamics. In some cases, this can cause unwanted rattling sounds when riding over rough surfaces.
Pair this cog with your Shimano-compatible rear hub, spacers and a lockring (sold separately) and discover the joy and simplicity of a singlespeed without the cost of a new wheel. Machined from heat-treated chromoly and then chrome plated, these seriously tough cogs are strong, shiny and they come in sizes from 13T to 22T so you can pick the perfect gear.
Shimano's 105 Rear Derailleur delivers high-end function with upscale looks. With a body of light, durable cold-forged aluminum in Shimano's wide-pivot design with their light-action spring, rear shifting is practically effortless and always super smooth. The top pulley stays a uniform distance from each cassette cog ensuring that every shift resonates with the plunk of exact gear engagement.

Walked around the store 5 or 6 times. I saw 3 or 4 employees, not one asked if I needed help. Seemed they had other worries besides the customer. Small businesses should THRIVE on customer service, but not this place. I purchased a bike and gear from another shop right down the road where I was treated like a life long customer. Two stars for having a good selection of bikes.....

To my Orbea road bike there for a stuck 105 front derailleur and a rear disc brake that was rubbing. Front derailleur wouldn't shift to top ring. I went there b/c they are an Orbea dealer. Really nice folks but I should have checked their work before I left. The bike could now shift on the big ring but only when engaged in the middle 2 gears in the rear. The brake was better but still rubbed. But I road it like that b/c I didn't feel like schlepping back. Took it to another shop this spring who fixed it properly.

This is the ONLY bike shop I shop at this store is awesome it only do they have a wonderful selection from bikes and all the gear you could ever want/need but the staff is really what makes this place what it is today these guys are endlessly giving out information and tips as well as supporting the local teams and sponsoring local events and teams. Outspokin will continue to receive my business and respect as a bike shop for as long as they are open!

This is one of the best shops in the Atlanta area! I live well over an hour away and routinely choose to drive out to see Kevin and his team for any items or issues. They are extremely helpful and knowledgeable and bring that level of customer service I look for in a LBS. I've been biking for well over 30 years and have spent more than I care to remember on my biking obsession with numerous shops, many of which never really developed any connection or better than average customer service despite spending thousands with them.
My experience with Outspokin' was the exact opposite. From

I visited this shop when I needed a new rear derailleur and they sold me the wrong one. Being new to the sport I was oblivious to the details needed and they failed to ask for any. A while later I figured out it was a 10 speed and I needed a 9 speed. I went in to see what they had to say about it and they seemed uninterested in making it right for me. I would never put my trust in a shop like this again.

I bought a bike here a couple of weeks ago. Jason is an awesome human being. He took all the time in the world to set up different bikes so that I could properly test them.
I've been back a couple of times after buying my bike to get it adjusted and Jason has been very patient and has taken all the time I needed to get my bike just right.
Emerson is also a great individual. He took the time to measure me for a seat and is very knowledgeable about anything to do with bicycles. He is very pleasant to deal with.
I highly recommend this bike shop for any of your biking needs.

I bought my 14 year old son a new Specialized Pitch. Nice enough bike, but the following is my experience:
When we purchased the bike we were told to bring it in once or twice over the first year for a free tune up, such as adjusting brakes, shifting, etc. Two months of neighborhood riding with his friends and front brakes quick working. So, we brought it in for what we assumed would be the tune up.
They said the brake calipers were glazed and had to be replaced; fair enough. But they charged us $26 for the brakes. Said my son must have ridden it through a "mud puddle or something.

Dropped my bike off for some suspension work a few days ago and was lucky enough to meet and talk with Jason. He was SUPER friendly, offered up some great advice, and did not pitch anything more than a basic service/seals until he was able to get into the bike. After chatting with him for a bit I could tell he knows his stuff and was amped to pick the bike up. Couple days later picked up and Jason spent the time to give me some tips on suspension tuning and a quick sag/rebound set up as a starting point. Additionally, offered some advice on adjustments once I get a ride or two in. In addition

We recently put a bike on Layaway here and have been very happy overall!
We were lucky to get the one particular bike that our son wanted for more than $100 off the regular price. Ugg... when did bikes get so darn expensive?? The bike was regularly $590 and we snagged it for $460! Their layaway program certainly helped with the hefty price tag.
They are holding it for us until Christmas even which is awesome! It's kinda hard to hide a bike ;-)
Everytime we speak to employees they are very helpful and great to work with!

Wasn't really impressed with how things went in this shop at all. I went in to buy a set of tires to ride around the neighborhood with my boys. The first set of tires that they tried to sell me were $50 a piece. The second set was a little more palatable at half the price. Which i get it but i'm not going to a downhill competition. Then they had a few dogs walking around in the shop that were hanging out around us. One dog was laying on the floor which my son pointed out and quickly after that a man appeared and immediately told us not to touch the dog laying on the floor as he has a

I've taken my bike there twice. I took it last summer and they "fixed it"... I took it out twice and was riding with my son and wife. I didn't put any stress on it and of course something is wrong with it. I brought it back again because they "fixed" it last time. When I dropped it off the people were cool and I have no problem paying to have whatever is wrong with it, so I can ride with my family. They said it needed a part and would be ready in 3 days. I waited a week and then called about it. They basically rushed me off the phone and said it needed parts to be

Things I have experienced the few times I used this business for emergency repair and maintenance (circa 2010-2012) before finding greener pastures:
* Being ignored while asking for assistance at the counter (not standing idly by expecting someone to magically appear like some people I read about)
* Having the cashier force me to wait while he took a long sales call (Good employees prioritize and place the call on hold).
* Given blatantly bad advice as the sales person attempted to upsell their products, presumably because I was riding cheap stuff at the time (college student, go figure).
* Price
