At Goldsmith Eye Care, we are pleased to offer a wide range of optometry services for our community! Our experienced optometrists can provide you with thorough eye evaluations, determine if you need corrective lenses and your exact prescription strength, fit you with the appropriate specialty eyewear, and help you pick out the most flattering pair of glasses for your face shape and skin tone.
Our doctors examine, diagnose, treat, and manage diseases, injuries, and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures as well as identify related systemic conditions affecting the eye. Dr. Wendy graduated from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis in 1991. She completed a post-graduate residency in Ocular Disease at OMNI Eye Services in Memphis in 1991, before entering private practice in New Prague, MN.

Unlike a vision screening or other general eye test, comprehensive eye exams evaluate the entire health of the eye. They also help the optometrist or ophthalmologist determine your unique prescription. Comprehensive eye exams should begin as an infant to ensure proper eye and vision development. Ongoing eye health examinations at regular intervals are also important as many eye diseases and vision changes can occur without warning signs.
Eyes are the organs of vision. Through a complex process, they detect and focus light to create images. Vision begins when light rays are reflected off of an object and enters the eye through the cornea and then pupil. It then passes through the crystalline lens which refracts light to be focused on the retina.

I recently moved locally and needed to choose a new optometrist. My wife and I tried out Goldsmith Eye Care and we're very happy. The staff was very friendly and answered all of my questions with great answers. As a medical office I am also very happy they are following CDC recommendations for continuing masking during covid fluctuations.

This was my first visit at Goldsmith Eye Care clinic. I had a great experience here. The clinic was neat and clean. The service was outstanding and the staff treated me like an extended family member! They were friendly and attentive to all of my needs. Dr. Wendy was knowledgeable and gave me variety of treatment options to consider. I highly recommend them!

Traditionally I enjoy going to the eye doctor as much as I enjoy going to the dentist, which means I would rather have an IRS audit. I was refereed to Goldsmith by a friend, and what a difference from what I am use to. I received a complete eye exam and an honest diagnosis. My current prescription needs to be tweaked a little but not enough to drop the $$ for new glasses

We've been extremely pleased with Goldsmith eye. We used to use Target Optical and were skeptical of leaving the perceived safety of a big-box chain and going to a small business. We've been blown away by their service and their kindness. The warranties that they offer have saved us even more money than we would have staying at Target. And their service level is top notch--always making us feel welcome.

After going through 2 different eye doctors that didn't work out, I tried out Goldsmith and was immediately impressed. The staff were all so friendly and helpful.
