Despite suggestions to the contrary, the repair specialists here at Country Time we are not mad scientists. Or scientists, anyway. But what we are is a select group of deeply talented and experienced cycling experts with a rare mix of mechanical aptitude, creativity and passion that enables us to come up with solutions and workarounds that stump the other guys.
At Country Time, we're not only a part of the cycling community, but a part of the North Fork Community as well. What's that mean? Simply put, it means that we feel a responsibility to be the area's foremost cycling resource. Looking for a weekend ride, or a group to go with after work? Because no one likes to be - or ride - alone, we offer and/or coordinate many casual cycling events designed to put like-minded riders together.

CONTEMPT FOR PUBLIC HEALTH AND FRONTLINE WORKERS. None of the employees are wearing masks; they were all close together when we entered the store. The doors of the store are closed. There are no windows so no outside air is circulating. My spouse and I went in to shop, told the owner that I had underlying health problems and offered him a clean mask. He said, "I won't wear a mask, but I'll back away." The store is not allowed to be open under these conditions.

Good prices and excellent, patient service. Bikes are fussy things and you need good shop nearby to keep them rolling. Greg knows his stuff and he takes care of his customers.
I recycled one of my old bikes, rebuilding it into a fast errand bike. It was as much fun to build as it is to ride, with Greg having all the parts and really helpful advice. He grew up local and takes care of the folks here.

It honestly pains me to write a bad review of a local business never mind a local bike shop. I lived almost my whole life on the north fork, and love supporting local. I also bike commute regularly, own several bikes, do most of my own maintenance work, and have good relationships with my own local shops where I live now. I've always heard great things about Greg and Country Time Cycle and have been in before to buy parts and many of my family and friends have bought from him. However, my first experience with the mechanic work and customer service was very rough in comparison to what I'm used

I Recently started looking for a bike to ride out east. I saw a bike that looked good but, I questioned the quality of it. I stopped in at Country Time Cycle and met Greg, the owner. I told him what I was looking for and much I wanted to spend. Greg offered some suggestions and even told me to take a test ride. Needless to say, I bought that bike. I added a few extras and was still within my budget. In closing, Greg is extremely knowledgeable about his business. You will not be disappointed!! Great service after the sale as well! Thanks Greg.

My husband and I bought bikes here a few years ago. Greg worked with us on what we were looking for - then let us borrow them first for the weekend to make sure that we were comfortable on them. We were so happy with the service that we also bought bikes for our three kids. He fitted the kids with a very professional focus on safety but making sure that they could grow with them as well.

The owner of this cool shop gave a free, lucid, helpful, supportive 1.5 hr. workshop at our local library this spring, 2014, and he was terrific. He gave us all complimentary notes and a small, portable "puncture repair kit". This teacher/mechanic/techie was truly fabulous! Hard to find reliable, professional bike advice, free or otherwise!
