Providence High School's history is both a story of continual growth and change, and of devotion to tradition. The school has always evolved to embrace technological advances, curriculum developments, and new ideas about education in order to meet the changing needs of its students.
At the same time, Providence High School has never deviated from its mission of providing each student with an education in ethics, morals, and traditional values as a strong foundation upon which to build his/her life.Through this history of perfectly blended ideals, the strength and spirit of the school's many supporters, and the grace of a Provident God, Providence High School has become and remains a premier Catholic secondary school.

Services
We serve for a multitude of reasons. We serve to follow in the footsteps of our foundress, Blessed Emelie Gamelin. We serve because the gospel calls us to ease the way of others who are lost, alone, poor, vulnerable and hurting. We serve because it brings us joy, it brings us grace, it lightens our burdens, and it feeds our souls.
As expressions of God's healing love, witnessed through the ministry of Jesus, we are steadfast in serving all, especially those who are poor and vulnerable. Guided by our Catholic tradition, we develop each student's academic potential, moral values, love of learning, and commitment to faith and service.
As the faculty and staff of Providence High School, it is our ongoing commitment to respond to the signs of the times. We are called to respond to the needs of our students and community as they arise and to respond with compassion, dignity, justice, excellence, and integrity. We have instituted three taskforces.
Applicants are encouraged to apply with a resume and cover letter to the address listed in the job postings below. Please, no calls. At Providence High School, equity, inclusion, and social justice are core to our mission. We are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and embrace difference for the benefit of our students, families, faculty, and staff.
Please Note: While admissions tours and events will begin in September, if you would like to learn more about Providence or have questions now, we are happy to schedule a 1:1 virtual meeting for you with one of our Admissions office staff. Please email the Admissions Office at admissions@providencehigh.org, and someone will reach out to you to schedule a meeting.

I went to Providence in 1969-1971. Did not like it. At the time it was all girls, and I hated every minute of it. From reading the recent reviews, it appears that Providence has improved in the past 50 years. As a freshman, I went through six big sisters - they kept getting pregnant! As a lifelong atheist, I do not recommend any religious school.

Very diverse and the teachers aren't biased (for the most part). They strive to challenge you and most teachers don't favorite. Ms.castillo was by far my favorite teacher at providence. She made you think outside the box and her honors class truly challenged you. Ms.castillo is an amazing teacher and she deserves to know that. Also good job to Carlos by the door, he always keeps the campus safe and interacts with students in a positive way.

This is simply the best high school!! My husband and I have two kids that graduated from here and two more to go. The administration, teachers and staff all treat the children and each other with respect. When a person feels respected and valued they feel comfortable being who they are. The people of Providence have allowed my children to become the best version of themselves. I watched as my introverted oldest daughter grew and pushed herself. As a senior, she was a captain of the varsity volleyball team and president of ASB. She stepped outside her comfort zone because she felt the care

This review spans nearly 15 years of experience with providence high school. I attended from 2002-2006 and then my sister attended 2010-2014. We had very different experiences but Both were truly remarkable. This school has wonderful focus programs that almost no other school can even compare to. My sister and I personally did the media focus programs which gave us hands on learning experiences with state of the art technology, field trips to the nearby studios, and a sense of film making that many students don't begin to experience until the latter part of their college days.

My son transferred to Providence for his sophmore year, and is now a junior. It was the best decision our family could have ever made! He's a student athlete, and while we're proud of the position he plays and leadership skills he brings to the varsity basketball team, we're most proud of his academic growth and desire to excel! I remember snooping on his Facebook page a few weeks after he started school, and he posted that he was going to strive for a 4.0, and was excited about it! This is definitely something a parent looks for in a school. The staff and students are incredible, and the energy

While I had my heart set on a closer school (for purposes of avoiding a freeway commute to school) my son had his heart set on Providence from the moment he attended a Shadow Day. The arts program has blossomed in the last few years and he entered the freshman class this year on time for the new Science Center to be up and operational. But those weren't even the big selling points - my son chose the school for two major reasons. 1.) the friendly character of the student body (they all take their motto "You Belong Here" seriously) and 2.) the Tech Program which allowed him to take 2D and 3D gaming

Providence high school is truly a community. In a city where high schools are a dime a dozen, and kids seem to be jumping around left and right, Providence brings me back to my high school days in Suburbian New Jersey, where your high school is your HIGH school. A true community, with great academics...Providence is a great place to send your kid!

Although I didn't graduate from Providence, I thoroughly enjoyed the short year and a half I went here. I was amazed at the fact that no one locked their lockers and everyone was pretty much friends with everyone else. It was like a small town in the form of a high school.
I loved walking over to St. Joseph's to get food from the cafeteria. I loved Pioneer Day when we spent the whole day participating in events at adjacent Johnny Carson Park. I liked watching Mena Suvari sit by herself and eat her lunch under a tree. And to think, shortly after, she would become famous for her role
