Sleep apnea is defined as the stoppage of breathing while sleeping. Nearly 25 million adults in the country are affected by sleep apnea, according to the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. The statistics are alarming and the health risks are dangerous so physicians and dentists are collaborating to develop effective treatment solutions.
Dr. Peterson grew up in Cedar Falls, IA. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.S. in Exercise Science in 2004. He continued his academic pursuits at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry where he graduated in 2008. Dr. Peterson worked as an associate dentist for seven years prior to purchasing the practice of Dr. Tom Zisko in 2015 and then partnering with Dr. Baker in 2017.

Carly was an excellent hygienist. She explained everything she was doing and the tools used for the job. I was very pleased with how she treated me. Dr. Peterson is excellent as well. I recently switched to him on the recommendation of a friend and am very glad I did. I have switched my sons here, too.

Just left Waveland Family Dental. Dr Peterson is awesome. He lets you know every step of the process and does a fabulous job!! Lisa chair side is the best. Everybody in the office if so friendly and very accomodating. Always nice to see them. Highly recommend them if you're looking for a friendly family destists.

I needed repair of an experienced filling that had a portion of the tooth chip away. I was able to get in and out of the office in less than an hour. Dr. Baker did a great job taking care of my problem including removal of the old filling and numbing the affected area prior to installing the filling. The total cost for everything was only $65. Since I don't have dental insurance cost was an important consideration.
