MidStrong is a community of people thriving through a commitment to functional fitness, real nutrition, and mutual support. We seek Balance in all aspects of our lives, the emotional and spiritual, as well as the physical.
We coach our in-person local clients at our specialized fitness facility in Westborough, MA. At that visit we'll answer all your questions, share our membership options with you, and explore whether MidStrong is the right fit for your goals and objectives. Paul created MidStrong to be a resource to the countless folks enjoying or enduring their midlife decades who want to lose weight, look leaner, grow stronger, and feel better.
It is more than an online workout program, we are redefining how personal training is done. Expert and experienced accountability, support, and guidance specifically tailored for busy men and women in midlife. Individualized workout programming, realistic nutrition coaching, accountability and support, an entire community of people just like you.
If you are already a member of a gym, fantastic. Practically every gym out there will have just about everything you'll need. And if they don't, no worries, you can substitute other equipment most of the movements we prescribe such as a DB for a KB. If you aren't a member at a gym, you'll only really need a minimum of equipment.

As people age, they are still responsible for maintaining their own physical fitness. Paul and Julie of Midstrong Westborough provide the motivation, support and skill sets necessary to foster individual physical fitness as a life goal. Positive feedback and encouragement are provided to Midstrongers to keep on track with their aging fitness challenges. The West Point achievement leadership mentality fosters personal physical fitness achievement.

As one of the "elders" in the program (and someone who doesn't love to exercise, but know I need to!), I've been coming to MidStrong for almost 7 years and have stayed motivated and entertained throughout. Paul and Julie were extraordinarily kind during the Covid shutdown, offering a range of classes and caring deeply about how we all were doing. They modify and adapt throughout the small group workouts and keep a close eye on form. I'd been wanting/needing to focus in becoming healthier in all ways! A huge part of that was finding a place where I felt comfortable getting started with exercising and changing my eating habits. I kept telling people that I just needed to work out a bit from home before I could step into a gym. A friend kept telling me that it just meant I hadn't found the right place yet and he was so right!! Paul and Julie have been amazing from day one. They want everyone to push themselves but to the level that is appropriate for each individual and that can vary widely from person to person in one class

If you want a small gym with personal accountability, Midstrong is for you. As trainers both Paul and Julie lead by example. Julie is passionate about nutrition, and offers real world advice to help achieve your goals. Paul is a fitness nut and gets into the science and evidence behind fitness. He's a lot of fun to work out with and helps customize each work-out to make sure that each individual is not exacerbating injuries while at the same time achieving their fitness goals. I joined Midstrong in February 2020. I was motivated to go three mornings a week before work, because my new job was demanding and I knew I would be too tired after work. Paul and Julie are so positive and inspiring, I have learned a lot and met some really nice fellow gym members. I’ve recently lost at least 5 pounds (I’ve also been using Noom for about 6 weeks to keep better track of what I eat) and I know I am stronger than before.

I've been under Paul and Julie's tutelage for about 6 weeks. I've lost 18 pounds, I have more energy, I feel much stronger and my wife says I'm much more pleasant to be around!
The small group workouts are hard but fun and always different. A great way to start the day. I leave feeling great. I'm so glad I started with MidStrong! I'm only about a 1/3 of the way to my goals but with Paul and Julie's help I can't fail! Finally and most important, Paul and Julie are teaching me skills for the rest of my life. I'm confident the weight will disappear forever!!!

The MidStrong Team of Paul and Julie have been fantastic trainers for me. Designing the right workouts can be a tricky endeavor online, but Paul’s communication style perfectly ties everything together for me. His consistent coaching, tips, and techniques have me excited about each workout. Paul brings no pressure, but he does provide me with consistency. The habit, I’ve learned from Paul, is as important as the outcome.
As a runner, I stayed away from the gym...more miles, more smiles. The specific plans Paul provides based on my feedback and goals have me healthier and stronger than I was

Paul and Julie’s professionalism and commitment to its members are on display in every small-group workout class I have attended during the past two years. They make sure all exercises and movements are correctly and safely done in a very positive atmosphere.
