Services
Pressure Equipment Engineering Services, Inc. was incorporated in Texas in 1993. Bharat Batra, founder and President of Pressure Equipment Engineering Services, Inc. has over thirty-five (35) years of engineering experience. He has taught Pressure Vessel design seminar at ASME South Texas Section, Houston, TX and Pressure Vessel design course at University of Houston, Houston, TX.
Fitness for Service Evaluations and analyses are performed to assure Mechanical Integrity / Structural Integrity of the above equipment for a wide variety of flaws. PEESI also provides consulting services related to Failure analysis, Failure investigations, root cause analysis of failed equipment and recommendations for repair / modifications so that the equipment can be brought back in operation in the most timely and cost effective manner.
Pressure Equipment Engineering Services, Inc. has extensive experience in design, analysis and re-rating of Pressure vessels used in refineries, chemical plants, power plants, nuclear plants and other processing facilities. Pressure Vessels Design and analysis(Tall Columns, Vertical Pressure Vessels, Horizontal Pressure Vessels, Spherical Vessels, Reactors etc.) based on ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division.
Design and analysis of Heat Exchangers based on TEMA and ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Div. - 1. Calculation of minimum retirement thickness values for existing heat exchangers / heat exchanger components to maximize the remaining safe and useful life. Calculations for Fixed tubesheet heat exchangers (with or without flanged and flued expansion joints) for re-rating and fitness-for-service evaluation.
Pressure Equipment Engineering Services, Inc. performs fitness-for-service evaluations for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, boilers, storage tanks, piping and other specialized equipment to assure the structural integrity of equipment for the intended design parameters.
Usually a fitness-for-service evaluation is based on API-579-1 / ASME-FFS-1 (API Recommended practice for fitness for service) and other applicable codes, standards and specifications.ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division - 1: Rules for Construction of Pressure Vessels. ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division - 2: Alternative Rules for Construction of Pressure Vessels.
