We are excited to provide you professional Eye Care services in a comfortable and friendly environment. Located in Yorktown on Rt.17, Peninsula Eye Care is conveniently positioned to serve patients from all over South Eastern Virginia. Peninsula Eye Care is currently accepting new patients. Dr. Waldron graduated from The University of Rochester in 1970.
A comprehensive eye exam measures visual function and eye health. This is done with a variety of medical equipment, great precision, and can only be done correctly by your eye doctor. The measurements we take at Peninsula Eye Care will result in the best glasses and contact lens prescription possible, as well as analysis of your eye health.
Dr Buck and Dr Waldron (and their wonderful staff) quickly made me feel comfortable. I came a bit early for my appointment, fully expecting to wait, but they were able to fit me in early. They treated me kindly and thoroughly and were happy to answer any questions I had. If you are looking for an optometrist, this is the place to go!

Dr. Buck is my family's favorite! He is thorough, kind, and takes the time to explain, listen, and answer questions. He has provided great care to my husband, myself, and our two daughters. We've been with Peninsula Eye Care for about three years now, and have consistently received high quality care. Could not recommend him and his staff more highly.

The doctor seemed nice enough but the front desk staff gave me the wrong prescription. I got the prescription of someone named Julia. When I called in for the right one they didn't miss a beat so apparently this isn't an unusual occurrence. I made a point to be measured for pupillary distance and the optician didn't write it down so I'd have to go in to be re-measured. He also didn't write down the quote he gave me for new sunglasses lenses so no idea what I would have been charged. Needless to say, I'm not going back.

Dr. Buck was so patient with our 2yr old. He took the time to carefully explain everything to us and took it upon himself to request a referral for our daughter for a revist. I was worried about taking her in to have her eyes checked because I know toddlers can be difficult and he was just so patient and entertained her so he could look at her eyes.

It was my first time going to Peninsula eye care center. The staff was very good and knowledgeable and Dr.Bae answered all my questions and made sure I was very prepared about the health and awareness of how bad my eyes have now gotten. It did take the Doctor some time to get to me, but I expected that when there was a bunch of patients that day. The only Con I would say, is I wished they were open later or even on weekends, because their hours are a little inconvenient when I had to take off work for my eye appointment because I do not even get off work till 5pm myself. I will still keep coming

I had an emergency eye issue and was in extreme pain and called Peninsula Eye Care. I couldn’t even open my eye! They saw me within the hour. Dr. Buck gave me a thorough exam and explained what the issue was with my cornea. He even called in Dr. Bae to confirm his diagnosis. Both doctors were very knowledgeable and had a great demeanor. I will definitely be going back for my regular eye exam! Wonderful experience and I am back to being 100%!!!

I have been visiting eye doctors for over 20 years and have seen quite a few in different places just because of moving and such. This practice was one of the best I’ve ever been to. Very friendly staff, and the doctor walked me through everything they were doing and explained why. I really appreciated the attentiveness she showed, and the care they took to answer to all of my questions. I cannot recommend them enough and I’m glad to have found such a great practice!

Dr Buck is very thorough and has always listened to any questions and concerns I’ve had.
I have always had problems with my eyes, and I’ve been to many eye doctors, but Dr Buck is the first eye doctor who has truly listened and cared.
I recently got diagnosed with chronic dry eyes and Dr Buck has gone above and beyond to find the best solution that works for me.
