We recently rented a cabin for a few days. The campground's own lake shore is both refreshing and relaxing. The campground facilities are very clean and kept up (thanks Moma Sue & Dan!). Multiple times throughout each day, we walked the entire campground. The sites are primarily for seasonal camping. The seasonal campers waved or said hello, a few even chatted with us and provided information. Lastly, the owners, Leo & Nadine, are very pleasant and took the time out of their busy day to talk with us in length as well as answer all of our questions. We definitely plan on going back! 😊

I've heard you can get a disease from the lake water- is this factual information I'm not sure enough to give it a good answer...the area itself is a little over crowded but the grounds & landscape are very nicely kept so the views are of the quintessential NH must-see.🍭 The Mascoma⛽ Store is run by a very nice merchant & his family, nearby🚲 the biking🛤/hiking 🖼trail you don't want to skip out on it's the next right➡️immediately after the store taking you down🌄 to the private🚗parking area that always has room I've noticed all year long which is nice!🛶 The boat🚤launches

Owners were great and the people who stayed there were very friendly. We camped there after a long day of bikepacking, and the pwners made sure we were able to find some food for dinner, and brought us up a couple of beers which was above and beyond! Bathrooms and showers were very clean, and the lake was beautiful.

Level tent sites, beautiful location, clean bathrooms and showers, great owners, private beach, free kayak rentals.
We’ve been coming here for years. There have been a lot of upgrades and renovations over the years. Leo and Nadine are onsite and responsive.
We love this campground!

Our daughter brought us here for Father's Day weekend! We had a cabin, which was clean, and slept 4, had a mini fridge and countertop! Outside was a little porch with 2 chairs, picnic table and fire ring! The owners are awesome, friendly people! I called ahead, as we would be arriving after dark, the owner put a pile of wood at our cabin for us so we could have a fire when we arrived! Bathrooms were clean, newly tiled, only issue was there were no hooks to put our clothes and bags on, only a small plastic bench that got wet. Also, you have to put quarters in showers, so be prepared, but hot water

First I need to say that the people who are in charge are the nicest most friendliest people we've met at any park we've stayed at. Second if you love water like we do,well you couldn't get closer unless you were in the lake. Do yourselves a favor and stop and enjoy one of the most beautiful and inspiring places I've been. Thank you staff. We'll be coming back.

By far this is the best place to be at! The owners are superb and all the campers that I had met are down to earth people that like to laugh and smile. We recently decided to buy a camper at the current location and we have a spot reserved for this coming next season and my wife and I are looking forward to great memories and some relaxing fun time! The lake is awesome for we used the paddle boat and it was nothing but good times for us both. I’m honestly honored to know the people here and we are looking forward to returning!

My family and I stayed in the Tiny House for a whole week. Honestly the location was amazing, the Tiny House was tidy and adorable, and the Owners were outstanding. The people working there were the perfect amount of friendly; completely approachable without being invasive. Also they offered events to do while staying at the site, along with free rentals of their kayaks and canoe. Yes, I did say FREE rentals. All in all, the price was amazing and our expectations were completely blown out of the water. Thanks for a great week!

We can't say enough good things about this campground! It's beautiful and clean. The owners couldn't be kinder or more accommodating. Most sites have a view of the lake. They even offer nicely built cabins, 2 of which offer stunning views of the lake!! The other campers are also very friendly and welcoming. We would highly recommend this campground to anyone!

Some of the comments on here appear a bit old. We stayed here recently and had a great visit. The owners are really nice and went out of their way to ensure we were happy with the site.

This campground is across the street from a beautiful lake and there is a little ice cream shop right across the street which is fun.

The sites are a little close together but we still had plenty of room. There were also many other campers with kiddos so our kiddo had a blast riding bikes and enjoying the playground!

Very friendly owners and they confirmed they purchased it a few years ago. It is not the

This was our first trip to this campground. So I will start off by saying the new owners are trying real hard to make this place a success. this seems to be a campground where all the sites are almost permanent. Some of these camp sites look like a land fill. the sites are teared on the side of a hill overlooking the lake. the only problem is you cannot see the lake for the campers in front of you. the campground is tight and the sites are small. a lot of work needs to be done before I will return. I wish the owners Good Luck and hope they make the needed improvements that will be needed to make

Mascoma Lake Campground is under new management in 2014 (I asked as I had read the yelp reviews from 2010). The new owners are lovely people who are working hard to improve the campground. I stayed in one of the two cabins and it was clean, the bathrooms were clean, my stay was quiet and pleasant. I can't speak to tenting there.

This is first and foremost an RV park and it feels that way, but you're also right across the street from a stunning lake, there's canoes and kayaks, great nature, and the RV park folks seemed like they had their own fun community.

If only I could give negative stars.......

In my 12 years of camping I have NEVER experienced such a dump. In fact, you would be better off camping at the dump.

The location is the only thing they have going for them since their negligence cannot screw up what Mother Nature has provided....a pristine lake with views from the campground.

The fact that they had given away our site was a blessing in disguise since I told them is was my reason for leaving. Truth be told, I would have let them keep my deposit just to buy my way out of this hell hole.

I was offered my choice of remaining "

Our girl scout troop of 7 girls and 2 leaders were booked to stay at Mascoma lake for our last troop trip. The website looks great but pay close attention and notice that most of the pictures do NOT include photos of actual sites or even the campground itself. We thought this place was great especialy since girl scout troops stay free however, when we got there we were VERY disapointed. The site they sent us to was not the site I had booked and when we got there, it wasnt even a site at all according to their site map. It looks like they needed to make more room and make 2 makeshift sites on either

Wow, where do I start....First off, this is not a campground. This is a trailer park.

I have never really seen anything like this before. I drove into the front of the place and was thinking I must have gone to the wrong campground. Unfortunately, the GPS was dead on, this was where I would be spending my weekend...

They called their grass patch a beach, which is not easily accessible. You have to walk down a steep embankment and cross a busy road just to get to the beach. There are no activities in the area and the campsites are packed in like sardines.

I live in Boston and felt more

I don't have much to say about this campground because it has already wasted too many moments of my time on this earth.

Let's keep it short and sweet. The staff look like little goblins, the grounds look more like 8 mile than a scenic camping experience and everybody is about as bad a person as you could imagine.

The only worse camping experience I can think of would be getting set on fire in someones backyard while being chased by starved grizzly bears.

Do yourself a favor, avoid this place like the middle east and either find an alternative (which there are many), or pull a lawn

This campground is a waste of time. My tent was set up on a rocky patch of dirt because that was all there was to offer. The people were rude. The sites were on top of each other. The bathrooms were unkempt. To say I was disappointed with my short-lived experience there is an understatement. After one night my group decided to find a new campground. Mascoma is horrible compared to the beautiful place we found about 20 miles away in Hanover. Go back to Mascoma Lake Campground? I would rather be in a coma!!

The website looked awesome, offering "terraced views of the lake" and "every site has a view." Hmm...if you want to be packed like sardines in an RV, you do have a terraced view of the lake (albiet with others breathing down your neck). If you are tenting, there are no views of the lake. You are stuck at the very top of a very steep hill (that you need to climb every time you need to pee). There is barely room to park. There is even less room to pitch your tent, or move. Being packed in like sardines is even worse when you can't hide inside an RV. This is where greed
