This little store has been a reliable go-to through the chaos of the last two years. Last weekend we wanted to get lunch to go. I tried a local fast casual Mexican food place...they weren't taking orders because, as the manager reported, they had people walking off the job and it was chaos. Then I tried another pizza place for sandwiches....they were out of bread. Third try, Southside. Please don't take this as a negative...pizza just wasn't what any of us had in mind originally. My wife and our adult sons with spouse decided to have supper together at this restaurant last night as it was a convenient location for all of us from the Denver-Colorado Springs area. The location was very convenient in the Wadsworth Blvd/W. Chatfield Ave King Sooper's shopping area on the SW side of Denver just to the north of C-470. The location was convenient, parking was tight but adequate, the outside of the restaurant was interesting, we were welcomed upon entering as we enjoyed the delicious pizzeria aroma in the air, there was adequate seating for us (group of 5), our server was

We were looking for a restaurant to have an "after the bike ride" gathering" when we ride the trails at Chatfield State Park. Fortunately we found South Side Pizzeria and all of us were very pleased. The specialty sandwiches are delicious, filling and very reasonably prices in the $7 and $8 dollar range. Those who got pizzas were very complimentary about the flavor and texture.
But what has driven me nuts in the last 10 years is restaurants treating beer like hard liquor with markups of 500% or even more. Not so here. Even specialty beers like Blue Moon and Stella Artois beer

Been a while since I got a pizza here and now I remember why. Just delivered one of the greasiest pizzas I’ve ever seen. It literally ran off the crust.
Won’t make that mistake again. Ordered the shorty appetizer as well- it’s always been great. Could only eat two pieces of pizza- turned to the shorties- ugh, dry and tasteless. South Side been there many times- what’s happening?

First and foremost, the girl (girls?) that answer the phone are always SUPER, SUPER friendly, cheerful, knowledgeable, efficient, and helpful. They always get our order right, and the pizza is almost always here sooner than the estimate they gave me (though it would be fine if they weren't!). I can only speak for the pizza as we haven't tried anything else from them, but I'm not a huge fan of pizza sauce in general and I absolutely LOVE Southside's sauce. The crust is always a highlight too, and we will definitely continue coming back (or, well, ordering over the phone, lol). Thanks to the employees

This place is kinda like the Cheers of pizzerias. Every time you walk in the door you are greeted by someone up front who seems happy to see you (does Nick work there every night?) , and it seems there's always at least a couple of regulars lounging at the cozy bar or booths. The pizza is the best in the area.
We'll keep coming back a couple times a month as long as we live around here. Thanks, guys!

I work nearby so I usually come here alone to pick up pizza to go. Everytime I will call bit ahead because it can be hit or miss on how busy they are during the day. I'll give them a time I will stop by so my pizza is fresh when I get there. I usually get the South Park (it is Extra virgin olive oil blend with mozzarella, parmesan and ricotta cheeses and fresh garlic). It's really good, especially since I was vegetarian for a while. But now that I am not, I've loved the Port Palermo and the Southside Supreme.
I haven't had a chance to try the Sandwiches but they all sounds really

Great pizza. Most of all I really appreciated that two employees gave us a genuine "Thank you" as we were leaving and the atmosphere was great because of them.
Pretty quick service but the waiter was quite busy so there was more of a delay to get the order in than desired. Very nice waiter though who was working very hard (Nicholas) and attended us well.
Shared a medium pepperoni pizza with my son and spent $19.72. No drinks. Still hungry at the end but so I should have bought a Large.

Awesome experience today! Delivered my parts today to Chatfield Auto body and the boss was digging into some really tasty looking pizza. He says "they sell it by the slice down there behind Walgreens!" Well they didn't because of the pandemic the girl behind the counter says. So got me a small Supreme to go. I told the blonde girl I'd be back in a few minutes to grab the pizza. She brought it out to me!!! WHAT! You don't get service like that anymore with a smile no less.
Pizza was amazing!! Exactly what I was hoping for. Will be back this week for sure!

Unfortunately, I cant agree with all the other high ratings. After seeing the reviews here, i was anticipating an authentic pizzeria. Not the case. The pizza I had was bland, lacking all flavor. I asked for black olives to be added, they said sure, then didn't do it. There was apparently no sauce on the pizza and the topics had no flavor. The dough they use is like cardboard,
Compared to the chain pizza places, i cant even say this place is better than dominos - which at least drowns their pizza in garlic.

The reviews gave me hope, but unfortunately their pizza did not - left a lot to be desired. The service was fine - friendly and quick! The red sauce tasted like plain tomato paste though, and the crust was a bit rubbery and flavorless. :( I should add we took it to go, so time in the car can mess with crust texture - but not taste. There also wasn't a ton of cheese, we got the Southside supreme and the southern belle. The best thing about the meatball sub was the bread.

Absolutely delicious! I had a Calzone for takeout and was very impressed. Not only was it not overly greasy, but was at perfect temperature by the time I got home (about 15 minutes away) and was very tasty. It really seems like they use quality ingredients. While I can't wait to sit down at this restaurant, take out was easy over the phone and pickup process was smooth. I will absolutely be returning and would recommend this place. I have no plans on trying the other nearby pizza places as none of them could possibly compare, and I prefer giving my business to local companies versus the big chains

Southside pizza was decent, for CO pizza. Sorry. You get spoiled when you're from the east coast and have also traveled quite a bit. We got a couple large pies on election night as comfort food.
The pies were just as advertised and the food arrived in a respectable amount of time. Everything was cool with the delivery guy too. Actually, they were kind enough to ask if it was okay if he came to the door of if we wanted a more COVID oriented drop-off. I appreciated that extra step and care to make the offer.
Aside from nothing being especially notable about the pies, they did miss an ingredient

But, the Philly Cheesesteak was great!!!
The bun was fresh and perfectly crisped.
The sandwich was excellent.
Very nice service. A quiet, low key atmosphere with no loud music.

I'm so glad we have this option for delivery in Roxborough! Everyone has always been so friendly and helpful. Everything we've ordered has been fresh, hot, and delicious. And we can't believe how fast it arrives! Our family favorite pizza is The Compton--loaded with meat, some places refer to it as a heart attack. But we like our protein! I often get a sandwich instead. Being low carb, I try not to eat all the bread. Theirs is fresh baked from Bluepoint Bakery, though, and so hard to resist! I'm waiting for tonight's dinner, and we have a chocolate chip cannoli on
