My husband I needed a mini-vacation, having cancelled our vacation due to COVID. So we decided to just do an overnight in a place we hadn't visited yet, and visit the Farnsworth Museum. We chose the 250 Main Hotel for our precious one night away from home. It was FABULOUS. Clean and fresh with fabulously modern architectural features and artwork everywhere! We chose a "Cool" room (which is one of the room categories). And, although it was on Main St., it was extremely quiet and comfortable. The beds are wonderful, the bathroom modern and beautiful and the WiFi was fast and reliable.

A very nice place to stay... the lobby, the rooms and the rooftop... must be dreamy in summer time... but parking is on the street, which is not what is advertised in google maps

Really enjoyed our stay here. Outstanding view, nice room, nice wine happy hour and great lobby with Parisian cafe music playing while you can read by a fireplace. Rooftop is nice touch. Would stay here again. Jillian was a great host.

Beautiful hotel! Hotel staff was incredibly nice, professional, and extremely prepared for whatever we needed. Heated tile in the bathrooms were life changing. One of the best showers I've had in my life! I only wish we had more time to stay.

Chic and unique hotel in Rockland that is a pleasure to stay at, hang out in and enjoy. Great staff, cozy rooms with incredibly comfortable beds, fabulous furnishings and design elements. Everything here is thoughtful, elegant and high quality. We loved the complimentary coffee, tea and chocolate.crossants available at breakfast. The available books, games, rooftop sitting area, downstairs lounge and fireplace. It is delightful!

If you are looking for a boutique hotel with a very modern but warm vibe, friendly service, and well-appointed rooms in a great location, 250 Main is a nearly perfect choice. It satisfies all of the above, but didn't quite make it to five stars for our visit because their COVID precautions didn't live up to the claims in the website. That was the only letdown for an otherwise outstanding stay.

We chose Rockland as our base for vacation specifically for this hotel, but lucked out with it being a good jumping off point for exploring the mid-coast. There are several good restaurants in

Good location and comfortable beds. Only tea available in room which is pretty uncool. Our room didn't feel that clean (stains coming from the ac vent) and it wasn't a particularly quiet hotel. Enjoyed the rooftop.

This hotel is everything we wanted it to be. The people are extremely nice. The place is immaculate. The room is comfy and modern, but not stuffy. The views are unbeatable. They have an amazing roof top deck too. They also have a grab and go breakfast that included croissant, yogurt, cheese, fruit, and coffee or tea. We were worried about staying in a hotel with the pandemic so we picked a small place with less people. We were worried it wouldn't be very good. We were happily proven wrong. Stay here if you can!!! We will be back.

Incredible hotel. We truly loved our stay. Clean rooms with fantastic products, knowledgeable and professional staff, and a great view from the room and the roof top. It was everything we hoped for.

A wonderfully modern hotel right in the heart of Rockland, within easy walking distance to restaurants, museum and ferries. Our room was overlooking the harbor which was so very pretty. The rooms are beautifully appointed. There are well appointed reading niches with good selections of books throughout the hotel, and there are wonderful art works on display by Maine artists on the floors and the lobby. There is access to the roof where one can enjoy the sunrise or sunset in comfortable chairs, Breakfast is a real delight. The lobby is airy, spacious, and super inviting to spend a hours writing

Please don't stay here if you have pets and seriously consider NOT staying here if you don't have pets.

My wife and I stayed there for 2 nights in June with our two small dogs. We saw they were a pet friendly hotel and it seemed to be located conveniently across the street from a park and nice pedestrian walkway. We were surprised that they say are pet friendly, but offer nothing for the pets, like water bowls and beds like other area pet friendly hotels do.

When we asked at the front desk what pet friendly restaurants or stores were in the area, they simply just looked at the internet

Very bare bones hotel. We had to ask for extra towels and tp. No cleaning of the rooms at all. Our room was not inexpensive and I feel we didn't get what we paid for. We did not have a great experience here. I get that covid makes everyone cautious and is scary, but this hotel felt like a prison. After staying last weekend in another Maine hotel I saw huge differences in the way the staff interacted with the guests. Not very friendly and quite frankly made me uncomfortable. I couldn't wait to check out.

This is a very modern hotel in the middle of Rockland. Young, courteous and competent staff.

Given this visit was during a unique period in history, it was a nice and clean place. Boxed healthy breakfast of small proportions (Yoghourt, Croissant, Blueberries, Cheese stick and juice) were served for breakfast. Also available coffee. Free happy hour wine and beer.

Highly recommended hotel!!

We had the most amazing weekend at 250 main hotel! They were quite accommodating during Covid times, and even were able to arrange a second night for us at the same rate since we decided to stay another night once we arrived!

The interior is beautiful as well as the rooms. Very comfortable and we had a view of the water which I thought was well worth the price! We really enjoyed the rooftop as well a must see ! If we had more time I would have loved to enjoy the rooftop longer with a cup of coffee and a good book.

The light breakfast was refreshing and made to order coffee was great.

Highly

I couldn't recommended 250 Main Hotel more. This boutique hotel is filled with local artists work, classic books, and incredible decor. The views from the hotel are outstanding -- I recommend getting a room with a patio, but if not, hang on the rooftop deck! The staff are friendly and welcoming, with plenty of information on what to do in the surrounding area. But what I love most, is the room. It's unbelievably comfortable, from the carpet that you walk on, to the mattress and pillows. Every detail is inviting and modern.

Stayed here for a Maine "staycation" in the midst of current world events. What a beautiful hotel. Staff is accommodating. Bathroom is amazing - heated floors, great shower, and upscale toiletries. Roof is great for drinks and meals. Easy access to the Farnsworth, Center for Maine Contemporary Art, and Primo. Great place to stay.

Probably my favorite hotel ever! The location is ideal for spending time on Main Street. You can walk to The Strand, Farnsworth, contemporary Art Museum, fine dining and boutique shops. The lobby is inviting and relaxing and with a complementary wine social from 4-6 and complimentary breakfast with coffee and juice before hitting the road for home.
Looking forward to our next trip back!

We just finished three wonderful days at the 250 Main Hotel and we can't say enough about it. The room was beautifully appointed and a pleasure to behold. The staff was friendly and helpful at every turn. The continental breakfast was excellent and the 4:00 PM glass of wine with cheeses and fruit was superb.
We celebrated an anniversary in this hotel this June and plan to celebrate our next anniversary next June. Obviously we highly recommend this hotel.

I was only here for a few minutes to use the bathroom as my companion had an emergency. I noted this to the front desk and was graciously allow to use the facilities.

While inside, observed the furniture and fixtures of the bathroom and the lobby, it was beautifully decorated and well kept. It definitely has upped the ante in capturing the spirit of Maine.

Based on the generosity of the front desk and the ambiance of the hotel including the furniture and fixtures, this hotel seems interesting enough that I'll try to stay here in the future.

Second time here, and again 250 does not disappoint. From initial greeting, being shown to our room, the staff is amazing. Wine happy hour by the fire with rose and red (or beer), tastefully prepared cheese and crackers, lovely sitting area.
The room decor, fixtures, bedding, view and window dressings all perfect. Walk in shower, heated floors...they've thought of everything. No room service but lovely cont breakfast with very decent croissants, good coffee and fruit.
Rooftop deck is amazing, I can't imagine during summer. We're making this an annual tradition!

This is not an historic, fussy charming coastal hotel: in a good way! It's sleek, modern and clean all wrapped together in a warm and comforting package. This new building is well located in the funky town of Rockland. The hotel is pretty small ... don't expect an army of check in agents or bellboys. Parking is also limited and it's on the pricey side. Those negatives don't take away from the amazing light-filled first floor and large and comfortable rooms. The views of the dramatic coast through the large windows keep you focused on why you are visiting Maine. The rooms

A wonderful ,nice boutique hotel which was our home base as we explored the coast.
The entire staff was great and friendly and tried hard to make sure everyone was well taken care of.
What impressed me most were the small details like the heated floor in the bathroom, the quality of the toiletries and bedding( great pillows!) and cloth towels in the public restrooms.
Breakfast had fresh fruit, good coffee and an assortment of croissants and pastries. The wine and cheese in the afternoon was another nice touch.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

Gorgeous contemporary boutique hotel. Up to date design and room features. Local Maine art on hallway walls is for sale (prices downstairs in lobby). Contemporary social space in lobby for a glass of wine and some crackers and cheese at four pm (gratis) as well as a continental breakfast (which we didn't try so can't comment on that).

Why only three stars then? Air conditioning was broken on several floors of hotel and our room was ridiculously hot. Staff (two people for whole hotel)though graciously attempted to get people room fans-- literally buying fans at a local Lowes!- but clearly

I LOVED our stay at 250 Main. My fiance surprised me with a roadtrip and reservation to this hotel, knowing that while I like the idea of bed and breakfasts, the idea of sleeping in a house built over 100 years ago with decor over 50 years old was not my cup of tea.

250 Main is located VERY conveniently on Main street. We were greeted so very warmly when we checked in by the hotel staff. Arriving on a Saturday around 4, just in time for wine and cheese hour! We had some time to kill before dinner reservations and ended up building a puzzle (provided by the hotel), while nursing a complimentary

Fantastic little boutique hotel. Rooms are gorgeous and airy. Loved everything about the hotel except for the parking situation -- or lack thereof. Still, a great place to stay in Rockland.
