St. Paul High School is a Catholic, coeducational high school rooted in the values of the Gospel and Church Tradition. We promote and nurture students' talents, moral development, spiritual growth, and self-discipline. As a family, we challenge students to grow in their knowledge and love of God, to strive for academic, artistic, and athletic excellence, and to work toward building a more just society.
Services
The majority of our students come from the neighboring cities of Whittier, La Habra, La Mirada, Pico Rivera, Norwalk, Downey, and Montebello. The economic profile of our families is vast, ranging from professional to domestic. Our beautiful diversity includes students from different creeds and races including Filipino, Asian, African-American, Native American, Caucasian, with the majority of students being of Hispanic descent.
History: In 1956, one hundred freshmen from surrounding parishes attended Santa Fe Catholic High School located in classrooms at St. Marianne's in nearby Pico Rivera. The next year, the name was changed to St. Paul to avoid confusion with the public school named Santa Fe. Additional construction provided the shower-locker room, the gymnasium, the 500 building and Monsignor Cranham Stadium.
St. Paul High School is looking forward to building relations with all prospective families and students as you enter the admissions process. We are confident and optimistic about what our future presents in the 2021-2022 school year. Our goal is to admit and develop well-rounded students; spiritually, academically, and student life which includes clubs, visual performing arts, and athletics that will become leaders that change the world.
The best way for future Swordsmen to experience life as a St. Paul High School is through our Swordsman For A Day program. Future Swordsmen students spend the day on campus shadowing a current St. Paul High School Ambassador Club student. They attend classes, hang out in the quad during break and lunch, and get a feel for a typical school day at St. Paul High School.
Providing a Catholic education for all who are seeking it is part of the mission of St. Paul High School. Assisting families with affording the cost of a Catholic education is vital in that plan. We realize that tuition and fees are an investment in our youth and the future. Paying tuition requires sacrifice and the goal of providing assistance to our families is to help minimize that.
