Introduced to the dry cleaning industry in 1913, J.H. Barrow, then an eager young man, worked as a dry cleaner's apprentice in Dallas, Texas. There he learned the "art" of fine dry cleaning, which also encompassed the care of leathers, furs, and fabric dyeing. As his career in dry cleaning progressed, J.H. became the manager of the Laundry Department at the College of Industrial Arts, which later became Texas Woman's University.

They lost 3 pieces of my clothing and acted as if I were making it up and was wasting their time. I was very disappointed since my family have been loyal customers for years. Even the store manager was not helpful at all. They told me they would look and call me back. Never got a call back. I had to call multiple times for them to ask me was I sure I even dropped those items off and they didn’t know what to tell me! Totally unprofessional. That was over $160 loss for me.
