I stopped to get lunch in the area and when my car wouldn't start because of a dead battery, I walked in here and John put down his lunch and helped me get on my way in no time. I was so fortunate to have had car trouble right next to a such a kind and professional auto body.

The tires I need are no longer available so they ordered comparable tires which arrived same day. Tires were put on within an hour. Excellent service all around.

Steve and Pedro were great! Very friendly and engaging. I had to get a bunch of things tuned up on my car as I hadn't driven it in a while. Unfortunately, there was a delay getting a replacement tire on-site and it was clearly not the fault of the owner. Regardless he knocked off the cost of labor to replace it as the lead time took longer than expected. I appreciate the integrity and the mindfulness of the customer's time. Thanks Steve!

Steve and his crew have really helped us many times by promptly and diligently repairing roadside hazards to our tires so we can get back on the road. They have also performed many needed services beyond tires to my cars over the years including alignments, oil changes, bearings, struts, air conditioner repair, and more. They are prompt and very professional, and have very reasonable prices without nickel-and-dimming you. I’ve recommended many others to them who have been very pleased with their no-nonsense work as well. I highly recommend El Cerrito Tires.

Steve and crew make a person feel as though their vehicle really is special... waiting for a friend's car (minor repair) I noticed just how much it means to have one's possession treated in this manner. The other customers, who came and went while I waited, had their troubles addressed and treated with genuine concern. This is the mark of a good business. The work done on my friends car was excellent... even replaced the bulb in a running light at no charge.

One of my favorite repair places in the East Bay. Their prices are always reasonable, and I find them to be quite reliable and responsible. For example, I took my VW to VW shop and they told me it need ed $1200 in repairs. I brought it here, and they did them all for $700. Also the VW shop told me that my brakes were OK, But this place showed me that only one side of the pads was OK, and the other brake pad was almost worn through. I really like this place

Steve and his team are amazing. All I can say is what a good quality guy. I was recommended to go here by a friend when my catalytic converter was stolen a few months ago. The customer service I received from Steve and his team at El Cerrito Tires was above and beyond. The replacement converters were on back order due to the high demand of vehicles experiencing this issue, but Steve and his team made sure I was well informed with the process of the materials being received and replaced. When The car was ready for pick up, they had washed the car and it looked like it was vacuumed on the inside

An overall pleasant experience here. I had a few parts painted and installed at the body shop. I previously had my tires and fluids changed on my car. I will be returning for all of my future auto work.

Friendly, honest and thorough. I especially appreciate that they listened to my concerns about the car, and investigated instead of dismissing them outright (which has happened to me on more than one occasion in the past). I'll be going here regularly from now on.

Love these guys!!!! The friendliest people work here I swear. So... I'm a regular here because I am so bad at avoiding potholes and always end popping my tire at least once every two to three months XD. Fast service and great price!!!! Quality work as well!

I am in no way connected with this business, but I have had excellent, polite and prompt service. I bought tires for my '81 Fiat ...maybe 2 years ago. I was losing air in one and I hadn't driven it much due to COVID and having other vehicles. I thought I had a puncture. They checked it. I had rust on the rim which affected the seal. They cleaned it up impressively - I saw them do it. They set all my tires to be the same. Since I bought the tires there the charge for a good amount of fussing with that tire? $0. The guy that runs the place knows cars, too. It's a cool shop and I'm glad I settled

Steve is one of the most reliable guys when it comes to auto care. I've been going to him 20 years now. He has kept same technician for a number of years.

My wife went there and they quickly removed a screw from the tire - it had not penetrated the tire - and they declined to charge her for it. What a Christmas present!

We will be returning, you can bet, when we need try to get new tires or repairs.

I've been bringing my Subaru here for a few years now for all maintenance and repairs--way more than just tires--and have been consistently impressed by the quality of the work and the friendliness and honesty of the staff. Steve is by far the most trustworthy mechanic I've ever worked with, not to mention just a genuinely kind and decent guy. He is always willing to talk through issues, repairs, and options--in whatever depth you're comfortable with.

Steve and his team at ECT are as trustworthy as it gets when dealing with car repairs. I bought a used Subaru from them a few years back and have bringing it in for any and all maintenance ever since. They’ve always acted quickly to fit me in, Steve is incredibly friendly and responsive, and most importantly, the work is quality and very fairly priced. I can’t recommend this shop enough.

Got seen right away to check on my tire light that came on. They did a thorough scan and analysis and fixed the problem and made sure I was out of there within the hour to not waste time. I highly recommend this shop for your auto needs. Also a plus that they were open early Saturday morning!
