Services
Hi, I'm Christiane Turnheim, and I'm a professional coach. People often ask me: "What is coaching or, what do you do as coach?" As a coach I enable people to change. This is what I love doing: Helping people realize what they really want in life and then helping them to change their lives so that they get what they want.
To all of you out there, who are trying to stay mentally sharp well into high age: Throw out all of your brain training software or videogames such as memory activities. You are just wasting time, at least according to a recently published study in the Journal Neurology of the American Academy of Neurology.
Today, I heard on CNN NEWS about a study researching a gender gap in financial wisdom. According to this study, women look for help and advice when they are already in financial troubles while men seek out financial advisors to avoid those troubles and plan for the future. Men follow the developments on the stock markets at a higher rate than women and men also are more likely than women to pay off their credit card bills in full every month.
My students love psychological tests. Sometimes, I bring a test to my college psychology classes and we always have a very lively discussion about the merits of the particular test. My students' favorite tests are memory and personality tests. It's evident that they are not the only people who like taking psychological tests.
It can be daunting when your list of New Year's Resolutions is as long as your holiday shopping list. In addition to the post-holiday slump, not being able to keep your resolutions by February, March or even late January may increase your anxiety. When your holiday decorations are packed up and stored away, the frustration of an unused gym membership or other reminders of failed resolutions can make the later winter months feel hopeless.
