When visiting our office we ask that only one adult come in for each family, and that all adults and age-capable children please wear masks. Andrea can tell you about all the other important safety measures we have employed when you call the office. Thank you and stay safe. A warm welcome from our office to you and your family.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our practice. We will strive to provide your child with the best preventive, restorative and interceptive orthodontic care possible. Our ultimate goal is to guide your child to adulthood with a healthy smile and a healthy attitude towards dental care.
Services
Preventive dental care is the cornerstone of pediatric dentistry. Pleasant childhood preventive dental visits help keep your child cavity free, help ensure we catch any potential problems early, and help promote the establishment of trust and confidence that will last a lifetime. Most children should be seen for routine preventive dental visits every six months.
Howard Schneider earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (DDS) from NYU Dental School in 1987 and completed his pediatric dentistry specialty training from Eastman Dental Center in 1989. His specialty training included treating children with special needs, dental phobias, and medically compromising conditions.
Our Staff includes: Robin McLaughlin - Office Manager, Peggy Gray - Receptionist, Andrea Meyer - Dental Assistant, Kathy Massino - Registered Dental Hygienist, Allison Maiello- Registered Dental Hygienist, Farida Halimi- Registered Dental Hygienist, JoAnne Eastwood - Registered Dental hygienist, Lauren Sobel - Registered Dental Hygienist.
Please call (631) 351-1540, or click the "Make Appointment" box to the right, and one of our staff members will be glad to help you schedule an appointment time that is right for you and your child. Please note that younger children often "do better" in the morning when they are less tired and that we only schedule longer, more complicated procedures, on weekday mornings.
Regular periodic dental examinations, plaque control checks, and fluoride applications are essential to any preventive dental care program. Experience shows that children who participate regularly in a preventive program have a lower incidence of dental decay than those who are seen sporadically. Ultimately, this both benefits your child and helps to keep costs down.

I would not recommend Dr. Howard Schenider pediatric dentist. His office staff is the worst!!! They are not organized. The staff does not understand how to deal with out of network patients. The staff is rude and treat people badly. DR. does not care that they are rude and puts his staff before his paitents. Be aware.

Amazing dentist!! Took my son there for the first time at a young age due to a chipped tooth. Dr Schneider made the experience easy and my son has loved going to the dentist ever since. We are so lucky to have such a kind, caring dentist to care for our sons teeth.

My daughters first visit was right before her first birthday she chipped her tooth and Dr. Schneider took great care of her. Now my girls are 3 and 5 and go in regularly for cleanings. The hygienists are always great with them and make them feel very comfortable and smiling the whole time. Dr. Schneider is so good with them explaining (on their level) what he is doing and keeping them happy during the exam. So happy their experiences at the dentist have been so positive that they ask when they get to go back!

Dr. Schneider is a five star review if ever there was one. Not only is he very professional and informative but he has a great manner with my sons. The entire staff is top notch and the office is very clean and tidy. I certainly don’t remember my own childhood visits to the dentist being anything like this! I can’t recommend him highly enough!

Dr. Schneider is a wonderful knowledgeable dentist. Additionally, he is warm, compassionate, and patient. He is fantastic with disabled children and has even helped my child with a dental emergency after hours. He’s amazing. There’s nowhere else I’d take my kids!

Dr Schneider is a great pediatric dentist. He is very caring and has patience with all the children that come to him. My children have been coming to him since they were each 2 and they are 18 and 21 now and never want to leave! He's not only a wonderful dentist but just a genuinely nice person.
