Services
We offer our entire estate by the weekend, to couples that wish to host an intimate celebration. Our standard reservation is based on events as small as 20 guests and as large as 100 guests. The combination of a smaller guest count, coupled with a celebration that takes place over a long weekend, affords you more time to reconnect with your friends and family, and less overall stress as part of the experience.
As part of every reservation, we provide our private oceanfront estate with beautiful grounds, a number of event amenities & a variety of settings for weekend festivities, including our beautiful Sail Cloth Tent (May- October). Our Lodging As part of a weekend reservation, we provide lodging in our three beautiful homes at the estate, with a total of 26 guest suites, for 28-60 of your dearest friends & family.
French's Point is a beautiful location for a weekend wedding retreat, in every season! Allow the season's charms to incite the flow & define the setting of your weekend festivities. Our seasonally-inspired itineraries can help you envision how you might use your time at the estate, taking into consideration day light, views, weather, & the overall experience.
The balmy months between June and September showcase some of the best Maine has to offer: refreshing ocean breezes, long sunny days stretching into mild nights, meals of fresh seafood on outdoor patios, we could go on and on. With so much to see and do, itineraries for summer weddings here at French's Point are as varied as the brides and grooms themselves.
Outdoor weddings can be absolutely gorgeous, especially in Maine, where we are blessed to experience the four seasons, each with its own charm and beauty. Spring weddings, combined with the smell of fresh flowers and signs of new life, set the perfect stage to begin a new chapter of your life. Spring is considered "off-season" in Maine and is the perfect time for those who want to avoid the crowded summer wedding season.

This was the most amazing ‘destination wedding within driving distance’ and we had the privilege to capture it all. French’s Point is on a cliff overlooking Penobscot Bay, and there’s also access to the beach…a beautifully private location for a first look. Wow what a gorgeous view and the wedding was perfect, all the details were on point and everyone was super friendly. We can’t wait to photograph another wedding here!

Absolutely magical. We got married here last weekend and couldn’t recommend French’s Point highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed. The property is breathtaking. Our dogs (and guests!) had… so much room to run around. The rooms and spaces are all designed to perfection. Old world charm with sparkling clean, modern updates to make your wedding weekend spectacular. They’ve truly thought of everything. Absolutely THE BEST place for a wedding or any event in New England. It has such a quaint, friendly, family feel to the property. The views are spectacular and there is nothing like the smell of the ocean air when walking out onto one of the many terraces. The owners and staff will do anything to make sure your event is nothing but the best possible stay.
There are other venues in Maine for weddings and events, but nothing compares to the experience you will have at French’s Point.

Amazing venue! The retreat and Farm House are both spectacular. Extremely clean and the beds are so comfy! The family/owners are so warm, friendly and ready to help you with anything you may need! We can’t say enough about this gorgeous venue! It’s a home away from home to have your dream wedding at or evening a beautiful family reunion!

My wife and I got married at French’s Point in May and we could not have chosen a better wedding venue. Our wedding guests continue to compliment us on how amazing the venue was and all that it offered to our guests.
It is a place that evokes emotion in its guests because of the beauty of the Retreat House and Farm House properties, the size of the grounds with amazing landscaping throughout, and the incredible views it offers looking over the Penobscot Bay. The property itself also has a rich and interesting history that is worth asking

It may seem to good to be true, I encourage you to go and see...It is very hard to describe in words the pleasure we had and the memories we made at French's Point for our sons wedding. I didn't know a lot about what I wanted for my wedding but I knew I wanted to be married on the water, but not on sand, because heels and sand don't mix. Well after searching around, my husband found the perfect wedding venue to fit that criteria, French’s Point in Stockton Springs Maine. My mom went to go and tour it since we live out on the… west coast, and immediately they said that this was the perfect place for us. My husband and I had our dream wedding at French's Point last October. While it was our first (and last) time having our own wedding, we had many older friends and family that have been attending weddings for decades tell us it was the best wedding they had ever been a part of.
The highlights from our wedding week at French's Point were:
*The cottages on the property that we were able to rent so our loved ones could spend Wed-Sun with us and one another
