In 1997, Randy McLaughlin had a vision for a special kind of auto repair shop. He wanted his shop to be known as being honest, trustworthy and dependable and to provide quality repairs at affordable prices. Randy's family would take care of his customers' families. Customers would become friends. He would build his reputation and his business by being dedicated to community service.
NATIONAL AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR was born that year and has been providing quality, safe and cost-effective vehicle repair ever since. Randy's vision has come true and since then NATIONAL provides personal, one-on-one service to each customer. For most people, a vehicle is a major investment, second only to buying a house.

Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Value
I have gone to National Auto for at least 5-6 years and wouldn’t go elsewhere. I appreciate that I can trust them to really tell me what must be done and what can wait. Also, good value fir the money. Not cheap, but reasonable. They also offer rides to work/hone which is a huge benefit of convenience! She is so kind too!! Thank you!

I have to say the employees were very professional about the whole situation. I had my car towed to National Automotive because my brother in law strongly recommend them. I did not like that National Automotive wasn't open on weekends but the time and caring of the service was very warming and worth waiting for. They even came to pick me up from home when they were finished working on the car and it was time for me to pick the car up. They all were so kind. Thank you all for great service and for being professional.

My boyfriends car had broken down due to a belt breaking and we took it here without any knowledge of the area or shop and we were so thankful they could fit us it and finished the car that day. They knew exactly what was wrong with it and charged us with a more than fair price. They were very accommodating and helpful through this process very thankful to have found this place

This review is long overdue, I've been taking my vehicle to Jake and Randy for over 3 years. The service is always great and the prices are always honest. This really is a family owned business and they look out for their customers. After my fiance's car broke down, I recommended that he bring his vehicle to National Automotive. He had previously taken his vehicle to Thunderbird Automotive Specialists, but they price gouged him and created additional issues. To quote him, he said "I'll never take my vehicle anywhere else besides National Automotive".
Thanks for the great

I honestly don't know much about cars and the team at national automotive repair sat down and really took the time to explain the work I needed done on my car. They helped me understand why I needed or did not need things that other shops were willing to rip me off for. I will continue to only go back and work with randy, jake and his crew! They are the most down to earth auto repair I've used. Highly recommend them!

I'm not sure what happened. I got a quote on brakes and struts. I could afford the brakes and got them fixed. Had to raise the money for the struts. When I got the money, I tried every way I knew to make an appointment to get the struts. Nobody ever responded. I didn't know if they were too busy for me or not. I had to get the work done. So, I went someplace else and was taken big time. Wound up having to sell my car because the transmission was mysteriously in bad shape after a tune up by the other mechanic. I wish they had made time for me since I did get the money to pay for

Best in the biz as far as I'm concerned. Great service, quick and affordable. They work around your schedule and every vehicle I have taken to them has been well taken care of. The personal touch of Randy and the crew definitely put this shop head and shoulders above any other that I have dealt with.

Thank you to Randy and his amazing team for rescuing me from a long holiday weekend without a car. I had a car emergency on the way to work last Friday and they were willing to diagnose the problem, work my repair needs into their busy schedule and even give me a ride back to work. I won't take my car anywhere else in the future.

Had to take my vehicle in for potential front and rear brake replacement. So rather than sell my soul to the devil aka dealership I recalled my past good experiences with National Automotive and gave them a call. I received a general approximate price quote and made my appointment.
Showed up to drop my car off and was greeted by Jake who took my info and I then inquired about a ride to work just a few miles north. Not a problem.
Long story longer I was planning on stoping at least $500 which I was not expecting but ok it is what it is then I get a call from Jake, to share my brakes were more

I'm not going back there ever again. I heard good things about this place on yelp and after my ac quit and one place telling me I needed to replace the whole unit, I figured let me get a second opinion. Well $300 later this place said I needed new serpentine belts (ok even though I replaced them a year before) and I just needed to have more freon and make sure I don't hit the ac switch off ever again (weird right?). I asked them well how much is a new switch and they look told me like $400. Needless to say I wasn't going to get that switch right away. They also told me I had some

I started taking my vehicles to NAR after reading all of the great reviews here on Yelp. I have to agree with the 5 star rating. Randy, the owner, has been in the shop handling customer service every time I've been there and I have to agree that he is honest and works hard to get your car back on the road as quickly as possible. His prices are very reasonable. His price for an oil change is great and he won't try to hit you up for an up-sell unless it's something that is really necessary to the well functioning of your vehicle. One word of advice, though, the waiting room is tiny

I recently took my car to National for a check engine light issue. I was on a tight timeline due to the fact that I needed to pass emissions and register my vehicle. They replaced my computer and took my vehicle through emissions to guarantee that there were no issues. I am thrilled that they completed my work on time and for a great price. I will definitely return again.

When you need a vehicle repaired TRUST & HONESTY is important. I met Randy years ago after getting a quote to fix the Volkswagen I owned at the time because it failed omissions and the original place I brought it to wanted $1,500.00 to get so it would pass inspection. At the time I didn't have the money. I heard about NAR at a business meeting I attended and thought I would bring my car to them and see if they could do the repair for less.
Randy called me later the same day and said he could definitely get the car to pass inspection and all it would cost is the price of a fuel filter

Randy and Tom and the crew have helped us stay safely on the road. This shop is honest and will help you figure out what is a "have to have" and what can wait!
No games, no gimmicks and as a woman customer I have always felt respected!
215,000 and 350,000 miles on our Trucks and still going strong thanks to National Automotive Repair.

Excellent customer service. Attention to detail is second to none.
My last mechanic was flaky, inconsistent and would often miss things while under the hood.
I feel as though I am treated very fair at this place. I bring all 3 of my vehicles here. They are thorough and get right to it.
I told my family about it; now they all come here.
