Not bad, not good.. just my mediocre experience.
Started S. plug change, which thought would be the usual simple job I could do fast like past cars, turns out to have to remove a few more parts than usual. Ugh. So, got to workin. But, crabby lady in our complex saw and got yuppity bout rules of no car work there (she right of course). Stopped and let these Knapp dudes take it from there.
Kinda pricey $220 bill for job I half did (and supplied the plugs). When brought in, counter guy said it'd be next day they'd be able to 'look at' it, which was a okay. Term 'look at' should be more like fix

It's wonderful to discover an auto mechanic shop ran by trustworthy and honest people who make you feel at home, relaxed and confident in the service that you are receiving... Robert and his guys did exactly that addressing my issue with my vehicle while communicating with me in a friendly and knowledgeable manner... the pricing of the services was more than reasonable and they had me back on the road the same day! This was my best experience at an auto shop. These people were so kind and fixed my headlight in under 30 minutes after I had a bad experience with firestone. I will only be using them from now on, they will give you the best price possible and you will be very happy with the work they do! Don’t wait hours at Firestone, come here instead!

Its been a few weeks but I scheduled online and took my car in first thing in the morning for a general maintenance check. It took a while but I ended up talking with the owner and it was a pleasant experience. I think if you're in need of general repairs and maintenace, this is a good and honest shop to bring in your vehicle.

What I liked about knaap was the precision with which they did my work and did not give me an update without checking which most of the mechanics do nowadays. Although my car was a bit delayed but I was okay with it and it was worth it. I had an issue with my battery where my brake lights were draining out my battery. Good guys. :)

I removed my original review, Robert got ahold of me and worked diligently to makes things right. The issues I faced were of no fault as his own and at the end of the day he did right by me. While I'm not a Dallas local and can't use his shop regularly I do reccomend him for his professionalism and honesty.

This is a very trustworthy and knowledgeable mechanic. Rob and his guys have gone way out of their way numerous times to help me. I first met him when I was in a pinch with a leaky brake line right before leaving for a trip and he had me in and out in just a couple of hours without any notice. Now that I am having problems with my emissions he has helped me to save as much money as possible including lots of free advice. I had a broken hood latch when I went in there one day to have my codes read and one of his guys fixed it for me without my even mentioning it. They're just really great people

Robert and the team are great to work with. Two weeks ago, I came in and they took a look at my car. The check engine light has been on for a while and they found it was an issue with the upstream O2 sensor. Today, I went back and they installed the new part quickly and efficiently. I was blown away by my experience at the shop; you can trust the… people who work here. They're honest, they know cars really well, and they're good at explaining what's going on. If you're looking to get work done on your car, I would highly suggest going to Knapp Auto Repair.

I had been dreading trying to find a new mechanic in Dallas and finally decided to check out Knapp Auto Repair after reading all of the glowing reviews from previous customers. It was by far the easiest, most enjoyable, and most straight-forward experience I've ever had getting anything done on my vehicle. The owner is honest and charges an extremely reasonable rate for work. My vehicle was in and out quickly with no appointment needed. HIGHLY recommend them for any vehicle repairs you need!! Can't say enough about how wonderful they are!

Do not trust them. Today is March 25, 2020. I put my car and SUV in their shop over a month ago. They made promises they could not keep on turn around time and still did not fix my SUV when I drove it off their lot. My other car needed the engine replaced so I had to pay half deposit up front. After a month, they still did not have the engine and my high profile car still sits in their parking lot unprotected from theft. Because of this and the way they handled my SUV, I fired this shop. I have tried to get my deposit refunded for a week and the owner Robert Knapp only replies with excuses

This shop is wonderful!! I got towed to the Pep Boys next door because that was the only place open at the time I needed assistance. They quoted me a ridiculous amount and the next morning I called around and got a quote from Knapp at a significantly better price for the repairs I needed. And he could get me in and out that day!
They helped jump my car that was left at Pep Boys and bring it over to their shop. All of the workers were so kind and helpful. I absolutely recommend this shop! I will be going back to Knapp for any other repairs my car will need in the future.

Went to get my breaks checked out at Knapp. I ended up needing new break pads and rotors. They talked me through my options and got me fixed up within an hour and a half. The pricing was fair and thoroughly discussed so I knew where my money was going. The excellent customer and professionalism will keep me coming back.

Best place in Dallas Ft. Worth to get you car repairs done! The owner Robert Knapp is amazing and will take excellent care of your vehicle.
