There's no better way to experience the lake than from the comfort of your own private boat. The pontoon's double-hull design makes for the most stable ride on the water that you'll find almost anywhere. There's plenty of space onboard to lie out and tan, stash a picnic, land a fish, or gather the family and see the sights.

When the boating season winds down, it is time to start thinking about protecting your boat. Winterizing a boat is essential to your boat's performance and operation and is probably the most important maintenance duty a boat owner can perform. Proper winterization can prevent costly damage that can result from freezing, dormancy, corrosion and moisture saving you time, effort and money in the spring.
No, there is no swimming possible from any rental boat on Big Bear Lake as per the lake law. All swimming activities must be conducted within 50 ft of the shore, however, rental boats must stay in the middle of the 5 miles per hour zone of the lake which is approximately 200-300 ft away from shore and marked with white cylindrical buoys.
Whatever watercraft you are looking for on the water, our Pontoon Deck Boat rentals provide the platform in Big Bear Lake at Holloway's Marina and RV Park. This luxurious and innovative pontoon boat has it all clean and quiet outboard power, onboard entertainment center, spacious dual facing lounger, and more.
With the largest selection of watercraft on the lake, Holloway's Marina and our sister marina, North Shore Landing, have the perfect selection of fishing boat rentals to fit your needs. Whether you are fishing for bass, trout, bluegill, or catfish, from 1 person up to 5 people, Holloway's Marina has everything you need to get you out on Big Bear Lake.
We have one of the nicest facilities within miles and are proud to keep it clean, convenient and fun for you and our other visitors. We are located right on the water of Big Bear Lake in Metcalf Bay. The view is terrific and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly. There is a convenience store within walking distance and many restaurants and attractions nearby.

The only boat rental on Big Bear Lake open this late in the season, they were super easy to work with and extremely pleasant and helpful. We were able to take one of their pontoon boats out for about two hours and enjoy the scenery of the lake. The water is lower this time of year so just stay towards the middle of the lake to avoid hitting things. Overall a great experience. Was a little surprised that they didn't require flotation vests or indicate on the boat where they might be stored.

Nice RV Park & Marina. Very clean and well kept grounds. Very polite and friendly staff. The only drawback was the "lake side" sites are were not next to the lake because the water level was too low, although the view of the mountains and adjoining area was still very good. Also the Wifi was not working and many of the sites were occupied by boats that had been winterized and wrapped for the season. This trip was in late October so we will return again in the summer months to try it again.

Great time on the lake. Staff was helpful and friendly. The boat was the standard pontoon boat for 10 ppl. I guess you get what you pay for as it was a bit more rustic than I anticipated. If I did it again, I would have upgraded to the luxury pontoon boat. Either way, the price for 4 hours was pretty dang good, IMO. 100% would do it again.

Overall, our stay was very nice. The staff was friendly, and the proximity to the marina was a plus (We went on the Pirate Ship tour and thought it was well done). This was one of the more expensive places we have stayed at with our RV, and were disappointed that the lake was so low this time of year. Our lake-front site was overlooking an empty part of the lake. I think a discount would have been appropriate.

Great experience overall. We stayed at the RV park and had an issue with another family camping. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The park was very nice with great trees and shade and had clean restrooms. We also had a great experience on the boats and enjoyed our day on the water. We'll definitely be back!

The staff was helpful. They told us where we ought to fish and how deep to fish. The pricing for 2 hours fishing boat was reasonable, considering you're in a tourist town. I was surprised that a few other local marinas didn't have fishing boats for rent. Just wish I could have gotten on the water a bit earlier to catch a morning bite (only reason for the 4 star rating).
Other notes not on Holloway's; the lake was very low, and green/ pulpy with algae, and we (3) didn't catch anything on this boat or on the two other shoreline fishing efforts during our visit. I did get 1 nibble on the boat. August

I loved the lake tour. Absolutely stunning and a great experience for your kids. Don had a great narration while educating us on the lake’s history. I would love to let him know that most native people do not like the reference Indians as this is a derogatory name giving by the colonizers of the Americas. As me and my son (California native) sat aboard we enjoyed the tour, but the sad reality that the California government paid its settlers to hunt down many California natives and killed them for money. I would love if the word Indians would be changed to natives. As natives are still existing

Pontoon rentals were a breeze. One of our party members was a bit ill the day we were supposed to go out on the lake. We called and they were more than accommodating and rescheduled us for a later date. The boats were clean, easy to use, and in good repair. The deck hands were upbeat and kind and instructed us well. We had a blast and will definitely rent again!
I should add they were concerned for our safety and the safety of their vessel and took great care in making sure all was well.

Great place to rent a pontoon boat. All the staff were very nice and helpful. We got out of the dock , heading for the lake and the boat died 3 times. After we got out on the lake we just cruised at about 8 mph. After about an hour the boat overheated and died. we called the marina and they sent their best technician out and he got it running but we took it straight back to the marina. They were very apologetic and gave us their most luxurious boat they had and let us use it the rest of the day at no extra charge. GREAT customer service and with a smile. Can't wait to go back!
