Our registered dieticians prepare three & four-course menus so that our residents receive a well-balanced diet. We cook in the "home-style" fashion and there is always plenty for hearty appetites. Our aide staff is also trained and registered by the Virginia Board of Nursing to properly and carefully dispense medications on a daily basis. Emily Green Shores serves residents 55 years of age or older. Our facility is an ambulatory-only facility and here to help those who need minimal to average assistance with the Activities of Daily Living (ADL's). For some residents, incontinence may become an issue from time-to-time.
Special care for these incidents involve wearing adult soil prevention aids and associated materials that are not included with our monthly services, but can be provided.Our facility has a convenient, reputable in-house hair stylist that visits the facility every Wednesday and Thursday to perform hair care, cutting, styling, coloring, and perm services for residents that desire this service for an additional fee to the hairstylist.

Emily Green Shores is a faith-based senior assisted living facility owned by the Portsmouth Baptist Association and located in Portsmouth, Virginia. Our facility rests on the Elizabeth River waterfront offering beautiful sunset views from our spacious sunroom facing the water.
