He founded Paulich Specialty Company in 1949, shortly after serving in World War II. Starting out as a small establishment in Cleveland, Ohio, Paulich spent his time creating slogans that inspired happiness.

Rex started working for Paulich in trophies and awards when he was in high school in 1969. Over the years he became the plaque and awards manager, sales manager, vice president and finally president. Rex purchased the company from John Paulich about 25 years ago and the building from his children in 2013.
