Jim and I began our dream of a lifetime some 46 years ago when we purchased the old Byrnesville Mill near House Springs. It was our desire to save the building; create home; raise our four children; and enjoy retirement here along the lazy Big River that flows beneath our house. This magnificent building was saved, the children raised in their life long home and now we enjoy the fruits of our labor as we sit and watch the lazy river flow past.
It is our great pleasure to share the beauty of our surroundings with others. Along the Big River in Jefferson County, not far from St. Louis, sits a secret delight. Traveling across the bridge, in the town of Byrnesville, your eye is drawn upriver to a scenic dam & waterfall where you catch a glimpse of flowers hanging from a 3 story structure presiding over the rivers' edge.

This BEAUTIFUL, tucked away utopia is breathtaking!! The wedding we attended there was nothing short of magical!! So many, many years of cultivating and tending to the grounds....stunning foliage, perennials and natural beauty! I had an opportunity to talk to the owners and they are BOTH so hospitable and full of knowledge! Definitely a hidden gem! Cannot WAIT to go back!!!!!

We had our wedding at the Lalumondiere in October 2019, and it was a wonderful experience. Thank you, Jeannie and Jim for hosting us! The Lalumondiere is their home and I will forever be envious that they get to live in this magical place! It was the only "venue" we looked at when planning our wedding and we knew right away it was the one for us. Go tour it if you're interested; you have to see it in person to realize all of its beauty! If you want a smaller outdoor ceremony and reception, this is THE place to do it. It matched our laidback "let's just get together" vibe and then exceeded our expectations

This venue is beautiful and breath taking! What they've done with this place is just amazing. If you like nature this is the place for you. At night it felt magical. During the day being able to see the water and you're always able to hear the water rushing. Such a wonderful outdoor venue, and the owners are equally as wonderful, such nice good people.

We had our wedding here fall of 2019. The venue is breathtaking! Jeannie and Jim have done an amazing job creating a beautiful, one of a kind, fairy tale property. Our wedding was perfect, we never wanted it to end. We had 140 guest and had plenty of room. I was worried about the 1 indoor bathroom, but it was fine. Jeannie is very particular, make sure to ask any questions ahead of time so there is no hiccups the day of.

I visited in the evening so it was too dark out to see the entire property, but I drive across the bridge every day on my way home and I just love the view of the old mill bridge. I'm glad to know that this place is near and plan to visit again when I can see the mill house. The cabin was rustic and stunning! The family that owns this property is very kind! Until next time..... 4 stars for now

My wedding here was fabulous! I could not have asked for more! The mill and surrounding area are beautiful, and the river going by made it feel almost storybook. The owners, Jim and Jeannie are the most hospitable people I've ever met. Besides having reputable contacts for things we needed, they were quick with advice and guidance on every little problem that came up.
Want to have the wedding your guests remember and can't say enough about--have it here. Its unique, beautiful, charming. There is nothing cookie cutter about this venue.
