Our School offers classical ballet programs of exceptional quality for dancers of all ages and backgrounds. We work to meet students' varying interests in dance, ranging from beginning to adult education to the professional career bound. ARC Dance operates a 9,000 square foot facility in the North Ballard/Crown Hill neighborhood of Seattle.
ARC serves the community through its school's dance training programs as well as professional company concerts at the Leo Kreielsheimer and Bagley Wright Theatres at Seattle Center. The Company fosters the art of dance by producing the creative work of current dance makers on an ensemble of classically-trained, professional dancers.

Decent dance education but definitely not worth the price or emotional damage that comes with it. I only trained here for 5 years but Marie Chong caused long lasting self-confidence and body image issues for myself and fellow dancers. If you want top tier training, go to PNB, if you're looking for a recreational outlet, go somewhere with nicer instructors.

I only rated this one star because zero wasn’t an option. If I could go back in time, I would’ve left Arc before my fragile, developmental years. The issues with this school are endless, it’s impossible to name them all. I honestly bring up my experience here with my therapist quite often because it was literally so emotionally damaging. PLEASE do not send your poor child here and ruin their self-worth like Marie Chong will.

My daughter has been at ARC for several years now and has had a great experience so far. She started off at a recreational school that offered all types of dance but she wanted more of a traditional ballet school. After a lot of research on ballet schools in the area we moved her to ARC. Since starting at ARC my daughter’s technique and form have improved tremendously. The teachers and director at ARC have provided her with a formal and disciplined education in ballet in a very supportive and nurturing environment. She has also been provided with multiple audition and performance options each

Danced here for almost 14 years and was just turned off from ballet completely. Overpriced and the main teacher who runs the place is rude and has extreme favoritism issues, and also has a reputation for emotionally abusing a lot of her students. Not even being dramatic, unfortunately enough. Go somewhere with nicer teachers for a cheaper price, there’s lots in Seattle.

I've been here for nearly 7 years. since then I have learned a variety of steps and learned techniques. the staff is outstanding, they know more about the body and a healthy way to teach ballet than most ballet schools. they are also soooooo nice. if you are looking for a place to learn ballet, this is the place for you.

I take Open adult ballet classes at ARC and really enjoy them but I also just tried two of ARC's Open Fitness classes, one was a Rebound Bounce, on a small trampoline, and the other was a Stretch, Strengthen, and Tone, using aerial equipment, and they were both lots of fun. I'm an older student and these new classes were gentle, progressive, different, and yes, really fun. This is a great community dance and fitness school.

My daughter is in her 3rd year of ballet school at Arc and she loves it. She has had most of the instructors and participated in two Nutcrackers. ASB has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where children are both supported and taught to do their best. The quality of the dance instruction speaks for itself but the fact that the learning and growth occurs in such a positive environment is remarkable. We are lucky to have such a wonderful school in our community.

My daughter has been a student at the Arc School of Ballet for nearly 14 years. In that time she has developed into an outstanding ballerina. She has been accepted into summer programs with the prestigious American Ballet Theater, Boston Ballet, and the Pacific Northwest Ballet. The dedicated and expertise of the staff have allowed her to achieve everything she could have dreamed and pushed her to the highest level. The greatest quality of ARC is the intamite setting where the staff really cares about each student. I strongly recommend the school to anyone because they really care.

This place is fantastic. My daughter has been dancing here for 7 years and I have never witnessed what Sarah M has referenced.
Miss Marie, Momma Chong and Papa Chong are all fantastic, caring and wonderful people. They have always treated all fairly. The times when my daughter was not awarded a part, or advanced it was all with good reason and accepted. She has always been told how to improve and knows it is her responsibility to work harder to advance.
Please, go see a show and witness the hard work the dancers put in. You won't regret it.

My daughter danced at ARC for 10 years. She was an advanced and committed student who progressed and eventually participated in the ARC Youth Dance Company.
My thoughts on the pros/cons of the school:
PROS:
- They are very focused on technique and the fundamentals of dance and ballet.
- If you are interested in a program that is oriented toward a professional dance career, this is probably the best program in Seattle.
- A wide variety of teachers participate in the program. In addition to the core teachers, outside instructors are often brought in to teach classes.

My daughter tried ballet at an early age and didn't like it. At age 14 a friend encouraged her to try Arc School of Ballet. She began by taking 1 class a week and quickly increased her classes to 4 days. It's been wonderful to see her develop confidence ,grace and a passion for dance. The acceptance and encouragement she received from Miss Marie and family including the other students has greatly contributed to her success. I can't say enough about this company.

We looked around because my daughter wanted to study ballet at a serious classical ballet school. We found ARC to be that, but also a warm, family atmosphere. Miss Marie and the other instructors encourage and challenge the dancers in a safe and creative environment. In the four years that my daughter has been dancing at ARC she has gained self-esteem, discipline and strength, not to mention strong friendships that have developed while having fun! I think it has helped her in many ways. She has started high school with confidence and a commitment to do her best. The dancers also have an opportunity

Woohoo! My daughter just got her pointe shoes. This is an extremely exciting time for any young ballerina. My daughter has been at ARC School of Ballet for the past 8 years and has been dreaming of this moment. I have been impressed with school's program from the beginning. The teachers and the artistic director are engaged in every step of the dancers progression, including the trip to get the pointe shoes. The curriculum is outstanding, the teachers are professional, and the environment is supportive. I know that my daughter is being trained to the highest standards and that her

Arc School of Ballet offers Gyrotronics. I recommend it to anyone with joint, back or mobility issues. I had reached a point where I would use a cane to walk. The pain and discomfort was creeping up my body from my ankles to my neck. Gyrotronics, in part, is a system that trains the body muscles how to move (correctly). In my case it took only 1 session to feel a huge difference. Also, the practitioner, Marie Chong, is very good; she KNOWS about body movement.
