Our rigorous, well-rounded, and holistic approach instills the love of dance to everyone who enters our studios. We offer unique programs with a variety of classes that cultivate imagination, expression, creativity, physical wellness, teamwork, excellence, and artistry.

The Children's Division includes Parent & Tot, Creative Movement, and Preschool Dance Enrichment, Level I, and Level II classes. The School Division, Level III to Level VI, provides a strong foundation of ballet training and other dance techniques.
Services
Evergreen City Ballet (ECB) was established in 1994 and received its non-profit status in 1995. It was established in downtown Auburn, Washington as both a pre-professional ballet school and as a performing company. From its humble but visionary beginnings, Evergreen City Ballet continues to provide high quality dance education, professional-level performances, and a nurturing place for students, families, and community members to flourish.
There are many reason to choose Evergreen City Ballet as your new, second home! We offer a variety of programs and class offerings, in-person, hybrid, and virtual-only, to students of all ages and abilities. Our clean, state-of-the-art facility includes two large studios that convert into a black box theater, a smaller studio, offices, and storage space for our costumes and sets.
Students should wear pink or skin-colored tights, a black leotard (or form-fitting shirt and shorts), and technique shoes (flat and pointe shoes). Hair in a bun, if possible, or neatly pulled away from the face. Students will be required to wear a face mask while indoors, throughout the facility and in the studios, during the audition.
Evergreen City Ballet offers tuition assistance and scholarships, as funds are available, to make tuition affordable for more families. We use BeneFAQ (formerly known as Confidential Financial Services or CFS), a third-party organization to help us accurately and fairly assess a family's ability to pay and, after review, award grants accordingly.
FREE for all ages. We will explore urban Afro grooves and popular steps through drills and exercises. Afro dance is an umbrella term that includes several urban genres originated in Africa over the past 20-30 years, including Afrobeats, Coupe Decale, Afrohouse, Ndombolo and Amapiano to name a few. This class will be primarily based in the Afrobeats style from Nigeria and Ghana.

My daughter and I love Evergreen City Ballet! This is her 4th year at ECB and the experience has been wonderful. ECB's instructors and staff are positive and supportive in helping the students grow. And ECB has also maintained a healthy and safe environment for all during this pandemic.

My daughter has been dancing at Evergreen City Ballet for over 10 years now. It's been quite amazing watching her grow from learning first position to dancing with pre-professional skill. She (as well as our family) has made lifelong friends at the ballet, and our family has been involved with everything from participating in events, the Parent Guild, and volunteering for ECB's various performances - most notably our annual performance of The Nutcracker, which is a favorite for everyone involved. The level of instruction is unparalleled, especially for a non-profit organization, and we're fortunate

We have been with ECB since the pandemic started as our former ballet school was not continuing at the same capacity. I was overwhelmed with how amazing our experience was at ECB, so we kept going even though the original plan was to return to our previous school. I am very particular about what activities we have engaged in during the pandemic and we have always felt so safe at ECB. Not only are the pandemic protocols top notch, the faculty and everyone involved at ECB is amazing! My daughter loves the school and all her teachers. They create an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome

Our daughter has been going to ECB for the past 7 years. While the school focuses on strict ballet, the teachers make it fun for the students while instilling proper technique and discipline. There are performance opportunities and classes for all ages. If you're looking for classic ballet instruction for you or your kids, this is a great place!

This is a response to Nittaya S.'s one star review of Evergreen City Ballet, as it seems she took exception to the following excerpt from the letter from the Board of Directors, Artistic Director, and Parent Guild:

"We are deeply grateful for your dedication and commitment to the arts and ask for your continued support during
this challenging time. We need your help more than ever! We kindly ask that you continue supporting our school
through your tuition payments and to also consider making a tax-deductible donation to help sustain Evergreen

Please allow me to start out by saying that the instructors here are very friendly. The staff I've met and spoken to are great. However, the higher department has gotten me question this place. As we know as of current, the nation (and more) are affected by the public scare of the Coronavirus. With that being said- schools are closing until April 24th, as some parents are not able to work due to closures of facilities, etc. I was sent an email about them seeking for donations. I've sent an email back in-regards to the lack of support to the families affected and all they're worried

We've been going here for almost a decade. It all started with Mommy and Me beginning dance with Ms. Andi. We were hooked right away with her enthusiasm and encouragement. It's a great place to get top notch instruction and have many chances to participate on the stage with their various high-production shows. There has been some changes of late, but it's better than ever now.

The parent guild that created allows all parents to get information from the board and staff and a great way to discuss concerns or ways to improve the school. It has been an integral part of instilling

My daughter has been attending Evergreen City Ballet since she was 3, as this is her 10th year! The instructors are amazing, several of them being ECB alumni.

The staff and families are a close-knit community, and the studio really feels like home. My daughter wouldn't want to dance anywhere else, we highly recommend ECB.

Our family has been a part of ECB for over 12 years. We have seen changes at ECB over the years, and have seen some staff and dancers come and go. Everyone has left an imprint on what ECB has been, is currently, and where it is going in the future. Because of the training at ECB, our youngest is a strong, confident young dancer. She is learning not only dance but how to manage her time (honors classes at school, along with music) and how to be a part of a team (friendships, teamwork, communication, delegating, knowing when to step back and listen, and when to step up and lead). All of this training

Three stars for the quality instruction and quality of dance and shows however what a toxic environment this ended up being for our daughter. After three years we unfortunately had to find out there never was an anti bullying policy in place. There are much healthier environments locally to bring your children.

I brought my daughter here after realizing her old dance studio was beyond sub-par.
Since enrolling last year, my dancer has gained incredible strength and enhanced her natural abilities. She went from hating to go to class to being overjoyed to go. It’s amazing what a real ballet studio can do for a dancer! Thank you ECB!

Evergreen brought magic to the stage with Cinderella! I have no children in the performance but took my 6 year old granddaughter. She is rather fidgety and I did not know what to expect. She was absolutely absorbed in the story and applauded with zeal at the appropriate times. She also attended the children's ball after the matinee performance and knew no one. Staff relieved any anxiety and she quickly was consumed with art. Thank you Evergreen for bringing this beautiful art form to our area. We will be back! I enjoyed the auction gala with great foods, wine and new friends.

I love this studio! My daughter has been going to ECB since she was five and it was one of the best choices I've ever made for her. The staff and instructors are all warm, friendly and approachable. Even the other families are great. I have yet to run into an uptight "dance mom."

We switched our daughter from another studio because she was ready for more challenge. I was amazed at the difference in quality of ballet instruction. ECB curriculum and teaching methods are far superior and it shows in their dancers and the opportunities they provide like the Nutcracker and Elevate.

My daughter spent two summers in their summer intensive program. This fall she left another school in Bellevue and joined Evergreen City Ballet's performance division.

The instruction is very good, and the performances are also very good. This year they performed the Nutcracker in Renton, Kirkland, and Auburn, and most of the shows sold out. The production value was very good, as was the opportunity for all the dancers to perform.

The staff are top notch, dedicated, and are clearly doing everything they can to grow and improve the school. I'm just very impressed with the whole operation

How the mighty have fallen.

I saw Evergreen City Ballet's production of The Nutcracker in 2005. I was ASTOUNDED at the quality of the show and the performance! This was easily on par with Pacific Northwest Ballet's rendition of the The Nutcracker. The calibre of the performance was truly top notch.

Pan forward to 2011... and it's a completely different landscape. Gone is the magnitude of the stage and performance, the cast size and the quality. I was truly disappointed at what I saw. This performance wasn't on par with Pacific at all. It wasn't even close!! It

Great for Kids, if you want your kids to get into Julliard or become a professional dancer, I'd say this is one of the best dance schools to go to in the Pacific Northwest, imho. They offer classes in various styles of dance of which I had the pleasure to dabble with some top-notch instructors. Best part of Evergreen City Ballet, though, is Stacy the Administrator, who is not only a sweetie but very reliable, dedicated to the school, and makes sure everything is running smoothly.

Tonight we saw the Evergreen City Ballet performance of "New Northwest Works". Their web page describes this performance as showcasing "fresh faces, fresh ideas, and refreshing pieces by some of the Northwest's most talented choreographers." This was the final show for their 2006-2007 season and it was presented at the Carco Theater in Renton near SR 169 (Maple Valley Highway) and Renton Community Center.

This special performance featured choreography and performances by Bennyroyce Royon, ECB alumnus, graduate of the prestigious Juilliard school and dancer with New
