Iowa City, nestled in the rolling hills of Iowa, is the vibrant hub of a bustling population and area of innovation. This area in eastern Iowa, which is called the ICR Corridor, is home to nearly half million residents and includes communities in seven counties, including Johnson County, home of Iowa City.
The Goosetown neighborhood is a local favorite for people looking for small-to-medium sized older, charming homes, a tight-knit neighborhood feel, and great walkability/bikeability to Iowa City's downtown district and the University of Iowa campus. The Goosetown neighborhood is located on the northeast side of Iowa City about about one mile from downtown and characterized by modest older homes and tree-lined streets and quiet walkways.
Coralville sits cheek to cheek with Iowa City in Johnson County, and is a major economic hub in the area with many headquarters, businesses, shops, restaurants and service providers. Its location next to both Interstate 80, which runs east to west, and Interstate 380, which runs north to south, makes it strategically located and appealing to people who commute for work.
Tiffin, located about eight miles west of Iowa City, and just a short drive from the western edge of Coralville and the southern side of North Liberty, is a small town poised for major growth. It is located in the Clear Creek Amana School District and is home to many parks, several restaurants, and a variety of businesses.
West Branch is a small town about 11 miles from City. The commute is a direct one on Interstate 80 or the Herbert Hoover Highway. While close to the Iowa City/Coralville metro, an important note for home buyers is that West Branch is in Cedar County, which has lower property taxes than neighboring Johnson County.

Emily has been an ideal realtor for us. We have been searching for the perfect place in the Iowa City area for over a year. Emily did a fine job of understanding our rather specific needs and when the perfect listing showed up, she understood the true value of the property. We had the privilege of working with Emily to buy our dream home in North Liberty 2 years ago. We moved from Michigan for a new job and she was incredible. It was no problem at all to work with her from a distance. When we came for a weekend to look at houses, she had 2 days completely scheduled for us. We worked with Emily to find a home for our relocation to Iowa City and could not be happier with our experience! Since we were unable to be on location, Emily facilitated digital visits to the properties we were interested in. She helped us get to know the city and neighborhoods remotely and was able to help us figure out what area and homes made sense for our family.
