He enjoys remaining active but had noticed that he wasn't able to walk very far. He eventually sought care by his local vascular surgeon who discovered this severe blockage in the artery behind the knee known as the popliteal artery. The vascular surgeon made two attempts to open this artery but was unsuccessful.
Angioplasty, also referred to as balloon angioplasty or percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA), is a minimally-invasive, endovascular procedure that widens narrowed or obstructed arteries and veins, usually used to treat a type of heart disease called arterial atherosclerosis. Angioplasty includes all types of vascular interventions that are normally performed percutaneously (through the skin).
Varicose vein disease is characterized by veins that have become gnarled and enlarged. For most, varicose veins are an aesthetic concern. Dr. Shiloh came highly recommend to me. I received treatment on my leg about 10 years ago and after a few years the problem reoccurred. Dr. Aaron Shiloh is one of the best physicians I have ever worked with. I covered his accounts for years and have had the privilege of working on some very difficult cases with him. Dr. Shiloh came highly recommended, and in talking with him during my consultation, I can see why. He is clearly knowledgeable and has a passion for his work. I tend to ask a lot of questions, and he took time to answer every one that I had, in layman’s terms that I could understand. I never felt like he was rushing me along to get to his next patient.

I called Shiloh's Vein last minute because I was in pain and dashing off to vacation the next day. I was thrilled when they squeezed me into their busy schedule and I half expected a rushed appointment. This couldn't be further from the truth. Dr. Shiloh treated me like I was his only appointment for the day. He drained fluid from behind my knee among other things. I am writing this review while on vacation...pain free. Great experience! Dr Shiloh is very knowledgeable about everything vein related. My wife and I stopped in for a consultation and were very please with the overall experience. My wife is an avid runner and had some pain and aesthetic concerns. Dr. Shiloh has set a course of action to address her issues. We also picked up some of the compression attire. I fly a lot and the compression socks he recommended are great. My wife had ordered a few different varieties of socks and sleeves. Great prices for the quality. Thank you Dr. Shiloh and team.
